LPG supply across the country remains stable and well supported by strong domestic production and secured imports. Following recent measures, domestic refinery production has increased by 40%, raising daily LPG output to 50 TMT, which now meets over 60% of India’s total requirement of around 80 TMT. This increase in domestic availability has reduced the net daily import requirement to approximately 30 TMT, strengthening overall supply resilience. In addition to domestic production, 800 TMT of inbound LPG cargoes have already been secured and are en route from multiple global sources, arriving across 22 LPG import terminals nationwide. This ensures nearly one full month of firm supply, with additional procurement being continuously planned to maintain steady availability. Oil companies, including BPCL, continue to deliver over 50 lakh LPG cylinders every day. Earlier, panic ordering had temporarily increased demand to 89 lakh cylinders, but it has now normalised back to around 50 lakh cylinders per day, reflecting stable distribution. Commercial cylinder allocation has also been increased to 50%, in coordination with state authorities, to prevent hoarding and ensure balanced supply. BPCL, through its BharatGas network, is actively supporting this robust supply chain by ensuring continuous replenishment of distributors and timely deliveries to households. There is no LPG shortage, and supplies remain reliable across regions.
