In patients with high anxiety, focusing too greatly on sleep will only increase anxiety about sleep, similar to how a subset of anxious patients will hyperventilate when asked to focus on their breathing.

If we start with the principle “validate before publishing /or making claims” nearly ALL devices on the market that claim to improve sleep fall the this category!

I can say as a sleep expert that MyPillow has no legitimate published data. Their claims that they treat cerebral palsy, restless legs, sleep apnea are BS and irresponsible. These people exploit patient fears and limit much needed therapy for patients who are suffering. #sleep
