@SleeveRollerBot

I use old fashioned detective work to identify geniuses who blindly rolled their sleeves for big pharma experiments because the man on TV told them to.

Look at the left chart. Private credit bankruptcy recoveries. 6 out of 13 issuers recovered 25 cents or less. Almost nothing in the middle. You either get out near whole or you get almost nothing. That's Apollo's Zito "20 to 40 cents" call showing up in actual data.

@writeclimbrun OC on a deal I was on in 2007 had a fatal grabber over the weekend and I was probably the last person who ever talked to him. He didn't get back to me all weekend, which was off, and his partner called me at 10 on Monday. They think he bit the dust Friday night.

@strunker96 @PeteMundo I saw a documentary once about a family who was en route to a park called Wally World and they had their hubcaps stolen in St Louis. I hope they found the guys who did it.

@PeteMundo I hope they have an exemption for math club members who are meeting with their chums to prepare for the end of the academic year tournament. I'm sure at least 90% of the youngsters in STL would qualify under such an exemption.

We may, but we also are in year five of “clinical trials” of an experimental inoculation that has been found to have excessive dna contaminants breaking FDA 10 ng per dose threshold, including the sv40 promoter. The CDC hasn’t updated the incidence of cancer data since 2022. We don’t know who really is leader of the pack, but it’s attacking more and more and younger and younger. And Iowa’s pesticides are a huge problem. sv40.org publichealthpolicyjournal.com/review-of-call…

Iowa produces the most GMO corn in the US. Iowa uses more pesticide than any other state except one. Iowa has the 2nd greatest incidence of cancer in the US. Some Iowa countries have cancer rates 50% higher than the national average. But it can’t be the chemicals…

@xenokatabasis @financedystop Look at the movie and music list for 1984. Plus Mary Lou Retton. The country unquestionably hit its cultural peak in ‘84 when the Boomers were still young and somewhat cool.

Financially, being 30 today looks nothing like being 30 in 1983. 1983: 85% lived on their own 80% were married 60% had kids 50% owned a home 2026: 64% live on their own 47% are married 32% have kids 32% own a home

A common misconception among people who have never done a real, actually hard job like surgical residency or Big Law. You are more capable than you can comprehend
llillillulu@llillillulu

@mannecharico @signulll @michaelmiraflor its impossible for someone to do real deep thinking work from 9am to 3am and not be autistic. she clearly isnt autistic with that tiktok tripod setup everywhere shes async sending emails back and forth to other PMs or people actually doing the work (notice her "reactions")

@jimiuorio The equation underlying the whole enchilada was 31xx deaths over 88,xxx cases. To believe the purported 3.4% fatality rate you had to believe that the 88k cases in the denominator were all of the cases. We have a very innumerate society.

Does anyone dispute these facts…in March of 2020 there was a nationwide panic that was based on an imperial college study that suggested that covid had a 3-4% fatality rate. Policy was crafted based on that study. By May everyone knew that those estimates were over stated by about 500x. The new information would have never caused a panic…but the ball was already rolling…what did I get wrong?

@ItsMattsLaw Not advised. That is the kind of setup where a double apostrophe passes for a quotation mark and the whole deal is jeopardized because no one can tell if "Business Day'' subsumes nearly the whole document since there's no closure on the leading quotation mark.

@lawyer_memes Refreshing. After being victim of a shakedown scheme by an aggrieved ex associate, my written reviews all became one line: "Let's keep this person around, for now" or "I see no need to keep this person around."

What's the obsession with continuous feedback? A junior associate scheduled a fifteen-minute sync to ask how he was performing. He brought a leather-bound notebook and a fountain pen to take notes. I stared at him in complete silence for eight entire minutes. The only sound was the HVAC system and his increasingly shallow breathing. He eventually asked if I was frozen. I told him my silence was a mirror reflecting his billing efficiency. He looked down at his blank notebook, utterly devastated. I told him that if he was failing, he'd already be locked out of his email. The absence of termination is the highest form of praise. He cancelled his upcoming vacation just to be safe.

A nonprofit hospital lost $201 million in six months. Laid off 650 employees. Three Negative credit outlooks. Then it bought naming rights to the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice facility. It pays no property taxes on $6.2 billion in real estate and lobbies for yours to be higher.

@ChadGriffiths This is where you buy a big insurance policy with a ton of business interruption coverage and then pray for a catastrophic loss from fire, tornado or hurricane so you can protect your dignity and blame the shutdown on the catastrophe.

@nicknactax @MurrayHillGuy1 NIL and the portal have removed a substantial portion of the variability and the variability is what made the first 4 days the best TV sports viewing event in the country. CSU, Drake and McNeese were the only true upsets last year and all were dispatched second game.

I used to LOVE March Madness… Took “sick days” every year on Thursday + Friday, posted at a bar with 4 screens all day. This year I don’t even care enough to fill out a bracket (but picking Michigan) Wtf happened… did I get older or did it just stop hitting the same?
