Steve Kerr said he will take a week or two to think about his future and discuss it with Joe Lacob and Mike Dunleavy. He acknowledged there is an “expiration date” on the job and it’s possible new blood is needed. Said he may return or may not. Doesn’t know yet. Full sound

Warriors in the first quarter: Nine turnovers and 1-of-9 on 3s. Suns up 33-15. Already a bigger hole than they climbed out of in Los Angeles.

Gui Santos talks about sharing the court with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Al Horford in the 4th quarter against the Clippers: "Man, to be honest, I don't even remember how much I was contributing in the game because that was amazing. You see Al's shooting, I think he didn't have a 3 at this point in the game, but then he hit 4 3's in a row, big time for us. Then you got Draymond doing crazy stuff on defense to stop Kawhi. You got Steph running around and making crazy shots. So, this is really a pleasure to be out there with them, especially yesterday that I had the opportunity to contribute with some numbers and help the team a little bit more. That was amazing. I was there just like, I remember the kid from Brazil watching the Finals in 2015, when I was watching the Warriors for the first time, and I was like 'Damn, I'm on the court with them in the clutch moments, that's kind of tough.'"

Tim Legler (@LegsESPN) gives high praise to Gui Santos: "I want to talk about Gui Santos because we've had the Warriors a lot this year and most of those games didn't have Jimmy Butler or Steph Curry. That's a tough thing to watch offensively and Porzingis wasn't there yet. So think about what we're saying like 'How are you going to create offense?' and so you start watching this guy, Gui Santos. Early in the year, we've had them a couple times and Steve Kerr is raving about him before the game while we're doing our interview and you're like 'Okay, didn't know much about him' . . . now you start seeing him. He's getting an opportunity because they've had all these injuries and he just starts playing great, like really impactful both ends. He can handle it, pass, shoot. He's athletic. He defends with a conscience. He's always smiling, like he's just one of those guys you kind of pull for, and it's gone from that to like 'Okay, this is a really cool story. They got guys out and now he's got a chance and he has jumped on it.' We did a feature when he called up his parents when the Warriors finally gave him a guaranteed contract this year and like the tears on the phone, just taking us through that, just an incredible human side to it, but forget all that man, the guy can play. Now I'm watching this guy and I'm going 'Gui Santos is a PLAYER'. He's a legitimate player to play heavy rotational minutes for a good team. Like that's what he has become and they don't win last night without what Gui Santos did throughout the entire game."
