Hold on guys, before you all get carried away. I live in Stoke-on-Trent. Stoke-on-Trent is a city made up of 6 towns. These 6 towns are really small making Stoke-on-Trent a small city. Just of a quarter of a million of us, perhaps a touch more. There's literally no mass panic. There are no search parties. There are no 'missing' posters. No big social media pushes. No anything really. I've yet to have a conversation with anyone about a missing child. I'm someone who is quite sociable. I have many connections in all 6 towns. I regularly frequent the pubs all over. My work covers not just the entire city but the entire county of Staffordshire. 871 of those 908 kids are located and returned home. 96% Confirmed Returns: Local council reports from May 2026 confirm that 96% of the 908 recorded episodes explicitly triggered a face-to-face Return Home Interview. These mandatory interviews are only conducted by specialized youth teams after a child has been physically found or has returned. Active or Open Cases: The remaining 4% (roughly 37 episodes) account for cases where a child declined the interview, returned to an out-of-area placement before the interview occurred, or represents an active investigation. The headline is alarming, but not as sinister as made out. Worried parents literally ring up if their kid hasn't come home after being outside for 6 hours. Nearly always a false alarm. It's not the norm today for kids to be out all day like we were. A kid staying out for hours these days is unusual. They are usually glued to a screen somewhere. @JNorthcroft Raya was fouled, 100% true. But he was fouled long after Trossard, Rice, and MLS had committed fouls on West Ham players. No goal but a penalty to West Ham would've been the correct outcome.

Agree a VAR call on some corner kick grappling is a lame - yet sadly fitting - way to (potentially) decide the 25/26 season. I dislike VAR and set-piece football tires me. But worse would have been if the call had gone the other way. Because, bottom line - it was a foul.
