I read somewhere that Dahukas were banned by govt in Ratha Yatra & some restrictions were put on them since the early 2000s.
Manas Muduli@manas_muduli

One of the most unique traditions of #RathaJatra is the Dahuka Daka (ଡାହୁକ ଡାକ). It is believed that the Rathas will not roll until the Dahuka begins his rhythmic chants. Standing atop the Ratha, he guides the pulling of Rathas with his stick while reciting age-old verses. Jai Jagannatha.

@KalingaArya Not abt propaganda videos . I have been following football for long time. There have been some glaring refereeing errors(esp in fouls) which can't be ignored (Ofc there's a chance of human error as well). Not saying that Argentine side is weak

Phew, England choked once again! What's going on Harry Kane (lost 2 World cup semi finals & 2 Euro cup finals as captain )! Argentina & Messi have mastered the art of comeback in last min (but I hv slowly started to believe that referees are biased towards Argentina). #FIFAWORLDCUP2026.

Why was Southgate sacked? Because chickened out in big games. Tuchel hired to adjust to the situation. And exactly the same result.

A FEW THOUGHTS ON DECENTRALIZATION OF JAGANNATH WORSHIP & RITUALS POST 16TH/17TH CENTURY. In light of the recent controversy of Rath Yatra, it's important to go through a few works of Late Prof Hermann Kulke - Kings without a Kingdom, and Kings & Cults in Southeast Asia. The mid-16th century saw a weakened central authority in Odisha, and from then on, we can see an increase in the number of Jagannath Temples in the Gadajat States of Odisha (the feudatory kingdoms), and these were mostly adjacent to their palaces. Shared divinity became a means of decentralization. After Suryavamsi Gajapatis and a few other rulers, the Bhoi dynasty of Khordha inherited the title of Gajapatis and were simultaneously custodians of Puri Jagannath Temple in the late 16th century. In the 17th--18th century(when Mughals were stationed at Cuttack and Marathas were about to enter Odisha in the 1750s ), the Gajapatis adopted a new model. They were willing to share a few selected ritual privileges, temple offices, honorific titles, and ceremonial rights with the Samanta Rajas (Gadajat rulers). Through sanads, feudatory chiefs were granted privileges such as royal entry into Puri, participation in specific sevas, use of royal insignia, and even honorary offices like Pariksha (superintendent) of the Jagannath Temple. From a sociological perspective, this represents a classic case of decentralization of symbolic capital while preserving the ritual sovereignty of Jagnnath worship.

Adidas launched the successful 'Hey Jude' campaign during Euro 2024 & it was used as a case study in marketing & Biz communication subjects (came as a question in exam during my MBA) . The campaign projected Bellingham as some Messiah who would save England. Well we all can see what Bellingham did in the match! #FIFAWORLDCUP2026.

A country geographically closer to North Africa and even having two cities in North Africa but with a team not as full of people with African ancestry is leading against the country culturally closer to North Africa but farthee geographically but with a team full of people of North or Central-West african ancestry by 2 goals.

@mishra_baibhav Whatever this current team of kids may be, they simply lack the aura of Spain's 2008-10 squad.. A different level of skills & strength.

Actually 90% of Spain’s defence is due to Rodri. One small niggle and this Yamal and Haram Co could start feeling like Villareal

There was lot of skepticism that India will start losing GCC jobs to countries like Argentina.. honestly I also thought same. A Fortune 500 company in its dream will not find 30000 skilled English speaking highly qualified people under one roof in any country…. So no .. no other country can take GCC jobs from India.

I actually thought yesterday's Spain-France match was at 2: 30 am and therefore went to bed early. Almost a repeat of the Euro 2024 semifinals .I don't know much abt the profile of the current Spanish squad as I have stopped watching club football but it seems they are formidable as a team (including those who don't play for Barca, Real Madrid, Atletico). But they cant be compared to the 2008-10 Spain squad.
