I will probably be much more active again when our trailer is finished and we are settled in. If I seem distant or inactive, most of my time has been spent renovating. I do have some w.i.p. art I intend to post soon, it has just been difficult to find time for it.

@nyammarii @Flashbros @Jumstince If you’re going to just sidestep and bunch of evidence, and be completely un-willing to engage in actual debate, then yeah you are being pendatic. They are by definition super soldiers, by all sci-fi and modern standards. This clearly isn’t worth my time.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros There is a HUGE emphasis on environmental story telling in Helldivers. Excuse me for looking at the multitude of evidence that suggests such a thing. You’re right, I declared it a bit objectively, and that’s my mistake, but my claim has pretty strong evidence.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros You want real evidence? In-game models are a foot taller than SEAF grunts, and General Brasch literally calls you a 7 foot tall killing machine in training. The satire is that Super Earth creates these elite, augmented super soldiers only to use them as disposables.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros Did you read any of the other points I made? I literally stated it as a theory. None of this changes the fact they are super soldier elites of Super Earth, an entire class above the S.E.A.F. who still display super soldier traits im game.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros To be fair, the devs are obsessed with realism. You can't blame me for trying to apply the same standard. The devs are very knowledgeable of weapons technology and I would assume they are intelligent enough to realize even an above average human could not wield such weaponry.

@Smallz_Fry @Jumstince @Flashbros assumptions aren’t canon. most games just do not use perfect real world logic. the helldivers are not ever directly implied to be modified in anyway; they’re above average people given heavy duty firepower

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros Yes, it is a theory. I made far more points below. Even without this theory, a Helldiver’s standard kit turns them into a walking engine of destruction. By any modern or sci-fi standard, that level of lethality makes them a super soldier.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros I'd argue in a post-scarcity society, the cost of modification is negligible compared to a failed mission. It's more expensive to lose a multi-billion dollar Destroyer because the soldiers were too fragile to handle their own weapons.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros For example, the heavy machine gun, which they run around with and shoulder fire, is literally the equivelant of this thing in caliber and size. A regular or above average human simply is not doing that.

@nyammarii @Jumstince @Flashbros They're best of the best hand selected from Seaf members, genetically modified to use extremely high caliber weapons a regular human could not handle, and severely outnumbered during missions. They are absolutely super soldiers.
