We aren’t 100% sure that we will win, but we need a debate. We want to be heard. Why are you not being neutral, what is the problem with the Speaker Anita Among? We demand for our petition to be heard on this floor of Parliament. You aren’t going to lockdown Ugandans. You aren’t going to lockdown the Institution of Parliament in this country. You aren’t going to do this, we aren’t ready to witness this in history. If you fight to be part of it, I am sorry for you (Deputy Speaker)- Yorke Alioni (Aringa South).

Yesterday, we had an inter ministerial meeting to follow up on all projects being implemented through the different ministries. I am sure the bottlenecks will be addressed going forward. I thank Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework Secretariat (CRF) for convening this meeting and all the Ministers for the commitment and support towards our refugee response.@KagutaMuseveni @OPMUganda

Today we spent the day in Kibongoya(Mungugo) village, Kisita Parish, Mbirizi Sub County, Kasanda District ascertaining the issue of prolonged illegal gold mining that claimed a life in one of the pits!
The Ministry had issued 3 exploration licenses in the area and it's unfortunate that we confirmed illegal mining taking place.
For emphasis an exploration license doesn't give mining rights and anyone that is interested in mining should follow the procedures and get official Mining license by the Ministry.
The Mineral Police is to deploy a detachee with immediate effect and have the pits back filled and compressed.
We encouraged the artisanal miners to formalise the existence of their group
Kisita Mubende Artisanal Miners Association with the Ministry and apply for an artisanal license.
For avoidance of further conflict from any of the contending parties, all activities on the land are halted until the court case on the land ownership is resolved.

Yorke Alioni (Aringa South) has accused Speaker of disrespecting Court Ruling, citing her refusal to abide by the requirement to reinstate Francis Zaake (Mityana Municipality) as Parliamentary Commission, arguing that the disrespect is now being extended to the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, given the way she handled the motion seeking to censure the four Parliamentary Commissioners over the Shs1.7Bn Service Award.
“With proper interpretation of various court rulings, take an example the one of Zaake where Court ruled that Zaake should be reinstated to the Parliamentary Commission, it is this same Parliament, led by Anita Among who disrespected the Court ruling. And locked him out, until date. It is this same Parliament that is going into contempt of the Rules and Procedure of Parliament of Uganda,” said Alioni.

Sunday was the day I had a fruitful engagement with my constituents in Amida West Subcounty at Chai Trading Centre, Kitgum District.
The VSLA SACCO groups are making remarkable progress, building on their small capital by incorporating government programs such as Emyooga, UWEP, and PDM to enhance their economic standing.
I also extended financial support to these SACCOs, contributing to their revolving capital to help improve their livelihoods.
Additionally, I encouraged the community to send their children to school tomorrow as Term III of the 2024 academic year begins.

Fellow Ugandans and, especially, the Bazzukulu.
Greetings. So many thanks to all the Ugandans who wished me good luck and congratulated me on my 80th birthday, yesterday-but-one and those who came physically to Kijaguzo and Kawumu to celebrate with my family. Praised be the Lord for life, protection and blessings.
Congratulations to the NRM resistance fighters over the decades as well as the other freedom fighters such as those who started the UNC in 1952.
However, yesterday the Muzzukulu Hellen Seku told me that as a baby boy birthday celebrant, I had not told my well-wishers my birthday wish. Since I have not been in the culture of celebrating birthdays, I did not know about that element. In order to rectify the matter, fellow Ugandans and Africans, forgive the ignorance of the recent birthday celebrant and here below is my birthday wish:

We were in Gulu, the Speaker made it clear that we shall handle your manyanga (Nonsense) in Kampala. Where is she today? We have been waiting to face her. Why is she running away? We need this matter to be debated. We are monitoring closely, we aren’t about to give up- Yorke Alioni (Aringa South).

About the Arua Show
I would like to provide an update regarding the recent events at the Arua Show.
On Friday, we performed in Adjumani, and after a brief rest, my team and I arrived in Arua by 4 PM on Saturday. However, around 6:30 PM, we received alarming news that the promoter had been arrested by individuals unknown to us. Concerned about this situation and our outstanding balance as previously agreed, my manager went to investigate.
Upon arrival, he discovered that the promoter was facing charges related to fraudulent practices and had incurred debts with numerous parties involved in the show. Over 25 individuals were demanding payment and gathered at the venue, which added to the tension.
My manager then contacted the District Police Commander (DPC) to explain the unfolding situation and requested additional security due to the irregularities observed. By 9 PM, the situation escalated as the aggrieved parties began to cause chaos. Although we managed to control the situation temporarily, it worsened as midnight approached, primarily because the promoter had failed to pay anyone.
I began receiving alarming calls from multiple sources advising me against attending the venue due to safety concerns. They shared pictures and videos depicting the chaos on the ground, urging me to stay away for my own safety.
We had arrived early, eager and prepared to perform, but it became clear that we could not take the stage before 10 PM, especially considering that local artists were also scheduled to perform but couldn’t do so because they hadn’t received any of their payment.
I sincerely apologize to the people of Arua for the unfortunate turn of events. I was looking forward to performing for you, especially since it has been two years since my last show in the area.
My team and I are currently discussing the next steps to address this situation. I apologize once again for the disappointment caused.
This incident reflects a lack of professionalism on the part of the promoter. We have learned valuable lessons from this experience and will ensure to conduct thorough due diligence when dealing with promoters in the future.
Lastly, I want to clarify that rumors regarding my team knocking a person are entirely false and should be disregarded.
Thank you for your understanding.
