Welcome Home - A 2nd 45-member team from Maryland Task Force 1 have returned @MontgomeryCoMD after ~20 continuous days of deployment(s) for 2 major storms (Hurricane Helene & Hurricane Milton) responding to states of GA, NC & FL. More than 100 MD-TF1 had been deployed. Thank you

TONITE @FEMA has requested & @mcfrs Chief Smedley has approved sending relief crews to allow MD-TF1 to remain in place in North Carolina to provide continued assistance & support in Southeastern states. 30+ US&R staff will soon travel to NC to relieve existing deployed personnel

Maryland Task Force 1 continues work in aftermath of Hurricane Helene.  MD-TF1 has been working for past 2 weeks in storm-affected areas, bringing aid, relief & other assistance to many who must begin recovery process in face of incredible devastation.

Today, members of Upper Montgomery FStation 14 (Poolesville) Swift Water Team trained on boat entry and pickoffs(approaching people in water) @ the Mouth of Monocacy. Boat entry of personnel requires upper body strength and technique and must be done without assistance. @mcfrsPIO
