Cosplaying as a civil rights leader from the 1960s to stoke racial animosity is completely on brand for Democrats.

The essence of the free press is the characterful, rational, moral essence of freedom. The character of the censored press is the characterless monster of unfreedom; it is a civilized monster, a perfumed abortion.
Karl Marx, "As a privilege of particular individuals or a privilege of the human mind?," (May 12, 1842)
But no one, not even the most excellent legislator, can be allowed to put himself above the law he has made. No one has the right to decree a vote of confidence in himself when it entails consequences for third persons.
Karl Marx, "Rheinische Zeitung," No.303, (October 30, 1842)
Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.
Karl Marx, "Address to The Central Committee of The Communist League," London, (March, 1850)
We congratulate the American people upon your re-election by a large majority. If resistance to the Slave Power was the reserved watchword of your first election, the triumphant war cry of your re-election is Death to Slavery!
Karl Marx, Address of The International Workingmen's Association to Abraham Lincoln, (Jan. 28, 1865)
Freedom consists in converting the state from an organ superimposed upon society into one completely subordinate to it.
Karl Marx, "Critique of The Gotha Program," (April-May, 1875)
Elementary education by the state is altogether objectionable...
Government and church should rather be equally excluded from any influence on the school.
Karl Marx, "Critique of The Gotha Program," (April-May, 1875)
Everyone should be able to attend to his religious as well as his bodily needs without the police sticking their noses in.

@PoliticsThatch @Smiley1261984 @BasedMikeLee @amuse I don’t think that was the big problem. I think the property theft, death camps, and slave labor were the big problem.
Collectivism always ends badly with godless totalitarians like Mao, Marx, Hitler, and Stalin.

Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815.
Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did.
Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”

Hilarious how AOC goes from “the founding fathers were white supremacist slave owners and we must tear down their statues” to “the founding fathers were backwoods working class socialist revolutionaries sniping billionaires” depending on the agenda she’s pushing on any given day.

@SPFCCMT @BasedMikeLee @amuse One difference though is when it comes to the "state", Marx believed it should be subordinate to society. With Hitler, the society is subordinate to the state.
English

@Smiley1261984 @BasedMikeLee @amuse They both ultimately believed that the means of production shouldn’t be owned privately. Marx’s initial contention that they should be owned by the workers proved impossible and the defacto was state control of industry, abolition of price signals, etc.
