The biggest issue with Rogan is his intent. Getting people to shout at each other is bad for debate but good for ratings.

@JDVance1 Other children wearing masks doesn't mean that children are "expected" to wear masks. What kind of logic is this? On the other hand, you are actually trying to create an expectation that children should not wear masks, which actually does impede other people's freedom.

Living in a society where children are expected to wear masks while exercising in the sunshine absolutely affects me and my family. So yeah, I care.

@davidhogg111 To clarify, I think people should wear masks however long they personally want. But I don't think that it should be a signaling tool because that is going to further the sense that getting vaccinated doesn't change anything among people who are not particularly risk averse.

@davidhogg111 If this is the case, which I kind of agree it is, I think we should really de-normalize the outdoor masking as an identification tool among liberals. Given the very low rate of outdoor transmission even among unvaccinated people, this is a very anti-vaccination message to send.

@SmilingSisyphu2 @yet_so_far "Devolving into empty labor" was an exaggeration, but these arbitrary(?) restrictions seem to reduce mathematical activity to its labor. If we consider exploration as an end to mathematics, rather than just a means to obtain knowledge, then we shouldn't restrict it.
