@Shindig53 @tonimason2502 Remember it all well. Went to several of the games in Div 2, although also missed a lot. As a 20 year old I played most Saturdays back then. 1-0 v Bolton and 5-0 v Oldham spring to mind. I missed Bristol Rovers!!

@SmithAbromley @tonimason2502 The writing was also on the wall in the 73/4 and 74/5 seasons - we took a degree of action and 75/6 looked like it had been stemmed - then a change of manager and 76/7 we crash landed into Division 2😱.

@Shindig53 @tonimason2502 Yes, been obvious for at least two seasons that a lot is wrong. We have all seen it and that makes the negligence and downright incompetence from the club even harder to take. COYS always!

@tonimason2502 Although you and I have been through relegation before, and this will not be over until it’s over, nonetheless this seems far harder to take this time - or is it just me?? The one common denominator is that it had been coming and the signs were there for all of us to see.

Captains at the Toss @waynemadders77 and @deebzz23 @DerbyshireCCC have won the toss and will bowl first against @KentCricket Wayne Madsen is captaining Derbyshire for the 149th time in all forms of the game, taking him level with Dominic Cork. The only players to captain Derbyshire more often are: Kim Barnett 537 Donald Carr and Guy Jackson 226 Derek Morgan 168 @ACScricket

4. As a boy I would only ever have Chivers marmalade as I thought it was to do with Martin Chivers. Happy heavenly birthday big Chiv and thank you for all the great memories.

@spursshow Very well summed up. ENIC, Lewis and co are clueless about football. As a supporter for over 60 years I am so sad about it. It's been so obvious this moment has been coming. But, I will of course remain forever loyal to Tottenham Hotspur whatever nonsense is spouted.

@dougbagleyfdl Yes very poor. The people with no idea of our history, or indeed football, are our owners. Disgraceful from them.

The Bobby Moore Statue. 7 years at the New Spurs Stadium. Still waiting for a ‘Sir’ Bill Nicholson Statue or Steve Perryman Statue or Glenn Hoddle Statue. No Museum. People talk now of a manager who ‘knows the Club.’ Through no fault of their own, many fans don’t know our history

I really feel for all the Spurs fans in London. I live 100 miles away and don’t have to put up with anyone I know boasting about being top of the League whilst we are so poor. One of the reasons why we are all so unhappy is that we know what will probably happen at the end of May

Saw Hamnet yesterday. Haven’t cried that hard at a film since a child. I didn’t think it’d get me like that at the end, but it did. My wife & I could barely talk afterwards. Profound. Moving. Beautiful. Disturbing. Stunning filmmaking and exploration of grief and being a parent.

I have been honoured to have had a few photos with Martin and in 2015 it was extra special to see Martin Chivers with his old forward partner Alan Gilzean RIP. As a boy I would only ever have Chivers marmalade because I thought it was to do with Martin Chivers.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our legendary former striker, Martin Chivers. We extend our deepest sympathies to Martin’s family, friends and former team-mates at this incredibly sad time. Our players will wear black armbands during this evening’s fixture against AFC Bournemouth. Rest in peace, Martin. One of the all-time greats 🤍

Taking reservations for special places in hell. Please do list your own criteria for a room. Here’s my starting line up: 1. People who talk overly loudly on their phone on the train 2. People who don’t wear headphones 3. Drivers who do not know the width of their own car 4. Sniffers 5. People claiming we should be taxed more 6. Sense of humour failures who describe jokes they dislike as “bullying” 7. People who still have #FBPE in their bios

@InsideN17 Agree with these points. Other factor last night and Sunday, we were playing teams/squads containing some of the world's best players. In the end it often boils down to that!

Yesterday epitomises everything I feel about Frank & FWIW I'm still HEAVILY backing him + believe he's the right man: + Yesterday a similar level opposition to Sunday, in a similar scenario (away). We changed system + personnel significantly understanding how bad we were. ->

@SpursOfficial Certainly our best goalscorer that I have seen. H is next and fitting that he overtook Jimmy. Both brilliant but Jimmy was simply a genius.

@LastWordOnSpurs My boyhood hero. I was behind the goal at Park Lane end when he scored that final goal v Derby. He didn't score that many headers, but that one was reminiscent of his mate Gilly!
