i talk a lot about how movies are being subsumed by video game aesthetics and logic, but usually the types of games being yanked from are the ones that are sort of inherently/explicitly cinematic. this is way more interesting as an influence because Portal is so intensely ludic

@SmithUnown I think it mostly comes down to how a majority of the levels (Pizzascape, Bloodsauce, Entryway, etc)
can feel as if they dont attempt to iterate on or reinvent a levels ideas beyond having varying levels of room geometry be changed.
