One of the most jarring things about trying to talk about football on here. People cannot speak honestly or without bias. And it’s tiresome. Spence knew what he was doing. It wasn’t a natural movement. And it wasn’t a penalty. Opinions would be different if at the other end.

Genuinely don’t think the pass was on to Haaland here. IMO the centre back defends the 2v1 superbly and all but cuts off that pass (bar absolutely zipping it through on the run which is a v difficult pass) Textbook defending of that situation. Though im sure someone will freeze it and say i’m talking shite 🤣 but in real time its split second stuff.

The issue with that second yellow isn’t the simulation rule. The issue is that because the referee made a bad call giving a yellow, the Swiss player gets more harshly punished, whereas if the referee had just given a simple foul, Embolo would still be on the field.

The Europa league is rubbish, 90% of the teams would all get relegated in the Premier League. The point is United were rubbish for most of the last season and they still couldn't finish above them and your fans think they deserve to spend more than them. United also gave them a massive head start and they were in a European completion their academy could have won. They 100% had the means and should have finished above them but didn't. Newcastle aren't being asset stripped for that reason, they finished 5th and still lost Isak. Their poor recruitment stopped them from building on it and they're now facing the consequences. Liverpool sold their best player in Coutinho and bought Van Dijk, Salah and Robertson. Surely you can see the difference? Rather than blame themselves they'd rather point the finger and blame everyone else. You can't expect the top players to stay loyal at a club that are struggling for direction
