@SmitzMax

Strong values and views are my own. Sometimes cynical and often impatient, expecially with the illogical. Increasingly concerned about the state of the NHS.

Nick, the logic in that post collapses under the weight of its own contradictions. You cannot say “let them leave” when the NHS already has more than one hundred thousand vacancies across the workforce. Even within nursing alone we still have tens of thousands of unfilled posts. The NHS is not choosing between British nurses and international nurses, it is choosing between international nurses and empty shifts. And the idea that we can suddenly recruit enough “perfect English, home-grown” nurses ignores the basic reality that it takes three years to train a nurse and we have not been training enough for well over a decade. If thousands walked out tomorrow, patient safety would fall off a cliff. As for “poorly trained staff”, that is simply untrue. International nurses must pass rigorous English-language exams, a competency test, a supervised OSCE and full NMC registration. Many outperform UK graduates on clinical assessments. If we care about ethics, we should improve UK training capacity and working conditions, not denigrate the skilled people who keep our hospitals running. The NHS relies on both home-grown and international talent, and pretending otherwise is politics, not reality.

Let them leave. We can recruit better qualified home grown nurses that at least speak perfect English. We must stop abusing the third world by stealing their poorly trained staff.

@NickBuckleyMBE Hilariously ingorant comment. Im willing to bet you wont pass the IELTS course level 7 that all immigrant HCPs must do before working in UK. Folks dont believe the propaganda, check the facts yourself.

102,000 hairdressers in England with 40,000 salons 27,000 GPs with 6200 Surgeries 31 million people visit GPs every month, a similar number have haircuts. In can see some issues with this comparison. Not sure anyone died if they got the wrong haircut.

@wesstreeting @SadiqKhan The majority of Londoners dont agree with your position on the Mayor anymore. Front benchers cheerleading him now seems desperate and fruitless. The damage is done. Time for change.

.@SadiqKhan is not trying to impose Sharia Law on London. This is a Mayor who marches with Pride, who stands up for difference of background and opinion, who’s focused on improving our transport, our air, our streets, our safety, our choices and chances. Proud he’s our Mayor.

@buctootim @MedRegoncall1 @LeedsHospitals Your logic is flawed. Without full foundation of training in any discipline, risk is increased. Another silly analogy, show me and let me practice taking off in a plane, I would grasp it well. Now ask me to land it or deal with a curve ball... and thats when passengers die.

☠️ How many children need to die before we realise that this is the job of DOCTORS only, and non-doctors should stick to their lane? ⭕️Does that mean paediatric doctors are just pot plants in the hospital? Leeds Paediatric ED at it again @LeedsHospitals
Anon Anaesthetist@anaesthetic_spr

A child died of sepsis after being seen by an Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Leeds Hospitals @LeedsHospitals. This case is being investigated by the coroner, and a court hearing has been scheduled for December 2025. The ED consultant, Dr. M H (also ACP/PA lead), should explain to the public why his ACP is seeing children autonomously.

Eileen do you have a single item that you could share before I engage with you, that proves your not a pseudonym/anon? Anything with your name on that's not AI generated? Anything at all? We've had a lot of fake accounts recently posting rubbish like this and they lead back to young medicopolitical aspirants. Anything you can do to demonstrate you are real person? Because all you post about is the same things that DV post. I see nothing about any other affairs that makes me consider you might not be another anon. If you can't and you are another pseudonym I think you should think carefully about what happens when people realise you could be a doctor misleading the public by pretending to be a patient. That doesn't look good at all. Feel free to DM me and I'll retract this straight away if you do have proof.

@buctootim @MedRegoncall1 @LeedsHospitals The usual retort that conveniently ignores basic comparison logic. So let me put it into child format analogy..... Im confident I can drive a lorry because I have a car licence. I am unlikely to crash, does this make me as safe or competent as real Lorry driver? Risk profile.

@DrLKVaughan "Are you an actual Doctor?" Sadly this is now my routine when having a consultation. If the answer is no, thats the end of the session. Sorry not sorry but my health comes first. We the public are starting to realise what's happening.

went around the loop TWICE. The actual diagnoses were obvious to anyone who has gone to medical school. This doesn't mean a doctor wouldn't have fluffed it. But it would have been impossible to defend.

On each of my last few on-calls, I have seen pts who have come to harm from not being able to see a doctor. The pts recognised something was wrong. Contacted the GP. Fobbed off onto a noctor, who made the wrong diagnosis and prescribed the wrong treatment. One person 1/

Remind me the next time someone calls it a toxic debate to show the person the stream of immature dross we have to deal with that is little more than childish bullying... A debate is two sided and has arguments of merit to be discussed. Being body shamed and name calling is an attack or bullying. Let's start using the proper descriptions of what is going on and maybe we will see the behaviour starting to be self regulated.

If only there was a group of medical professionals that hadnt been mercilessly bullied from the NHS to make the strikes hurt more who could help maintain safety alongside consultants whilst strike action takes place so that this animosity/risk doesnt have to occur and talks can be had civilly...

@parthaskar Oh we do! Unless clincians introduce themselves clearly as a Doctor, all my consultations start with this very question. It's disheartening that I have to do the job of incompetent regulators to protect myself. Offence is usually caused but my safety comes first.

For a long time? When people have wanted to see a doctor? The system has tried everything possible to get the public conned into seeing anyone Whatever be their qualification Under the garb of “It’s all basically the same” Problem is when the public starts figuring it out.

I'm saddened and disappointed to see how @DrSelvarajah has been treated on here over the last 24 hours. I have no idea who is behind it, but it needs to stop. There are 6 vacancies on #RCGPCouncil - there's no need to tear one candidate down in order to endorse another 💔
