🚨TRUMP JUST TOOK THE QUEEN
China just DUMPED Iranian oil…
and started buying from ALASKA instead.
The same country that armed Iran and laughed at U.S. sanctions is now buying American oil.
Why? Alaska is closer.
Hormuz is shut.
Iran became too risky.
Trump didn’t just close the Strait…
He redirected billions in Chinese demand straight to American soil.
Iran loses its biggest customer.
America gains it.
This isn’t luck.
This is chess.
And Trump just ended the game.🇺🇸

No.
In Japan, we almost never say it out loud.
We have two words for this.
Honne — your true feelings.
Tatemae — the face you show the world.
So when someone says
"that might be a little difficult,"
they very often mean no.
A flat no.
Everyone understands the code.
Nobody says it directly.
To us, this is politeness.
It protects the other person from embarrassment.
I have heard that in some places,
saying exactly what you mean is the polite thing.
That dancing around it feels fake.
So tell me honestly.
In your country, how do you say no?
Straight out?
Or wrapped in something softer?

@Smogzilla It sounds like there were many ways to get to school! I am surprised you could get a car and drive at 16. Is it common for young people in America to drive so early?

Japan invented a piece of furniture that is almost impossible to escape, and I need to know if your country has anything like it.
It is called a kotatsu. A low table with a heater underneath and a thick blanket around the edges. You put your legs in, the warmth wraps around you, and that is it. You are done. You live there now.
People eat there, study there, nap there, and abandon every plan they had for the day.
In winter, the most dangerous words in a Japanese home are "I'll just sit at the kotatsu for a minute."
So does your country have a trap like this? A chair, a couch, a heater, something you physically cannot leave once winter hits?

Smoggy’s Mashies
Ingredients:
5 lbs potatoes
8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. sour cream
Instructions:
Peel 5 lbs potatoes
Boil 5 lbs potatoes, approximately 30 minutes or until fork tender
Drain and set on low heat and silver the potatoes (It’s putting the drained cooked potatoes back on the stove on low heat and shake them about until lots of little beads of water form on the surface of the potatoes. Gets the excess water out of the potatoes).
Mix in 8 oz cream cheese and as much sour cream to the consistency you like.
You can make these the night before and heat at 50% power due to the cheese. They are like fresh made for days. Yum!
