@texasrunnerDFW Sorry Amy but I disagree. I would put the reasons as 60% ICE, 20% Private home school, 20% lower birth rate. The amount of population drop in urban schools where there are not realistic private options is staggering. There is a mass exodus that has happened.

This is not due to ICE or deportation It’s because more parents are choosing homeschooling or private school About 20% of the moms I’ve gotten to know in our neighborhood once had all their kids in our public schools but now homeschool or do private for at least one child
