@MattPauleyOnAir@dgoold It was a fun thing. I don’t have a problem with it. But cmon. It didn’t affect how they played. Of it did that is very unprofessional.
Not trying to come off like your freshman home room teacher who had motivational posters on the wall and not trying to make too much of a single moment but…
There’s a life lesson to what happened last night. A bunch of kids decided they were going to have fun and uniquely be themselves. It turns into hundreds of people following along, filling up four sections an an MLB stadium, getting national attention, going viral on social media, MLB players and a manager taking note and talking about it and coverage of it all over in local TV, Radio and Print.
It all starts organically with some kids deciding to have fun doing something a little different. There can be power in that.
Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.
Missouri head football coach Eli Drinkwitz just updated me on all-SEC RB Ahmad Hardy:
Hardy has returned to Columbia. He is still in the hospital to monitor his wounds and post surgery. He is in good spirits. He is walking and doing physical therapy three times a day. He hopes to check out of the hospital Monday.
“WE NEED TO LET THEM DO INSIDER TRADING TO FEED THEIR FAMILIES”
That was the actual argument just made in defense of politicians trading stocks.
Members of Congress make $174,000 a year.
The median American income is roughly $63,000. (3x less)
Meanwhile the federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour… also unchanged since 2009.
And you’re seriously being told politicians need access to insider trading to survive.
The system is designed to lead earth to neo-feudalism.
And it’s becoming more brazen by the year.
Asset ownership consolidates upward.
Living standards decline downward.
The middle class gets squeezed from both ends and disappears while the elite class accumulates more wealth, more influence, and more protection.
Leaving behind a permanent underclass.
And a permanent political-financial aristocracy at the top…
@Frank_Cusumano@PowerMizzoucom I mean the guy is stable. Why are we treating him like the pope? Who cares? He'll go run for a few yards for an 8-4 team that does nothing.
The latest on Ahmad Hardy: he just landed at the Jefferson City airport. He was transported by the University’s medical center ambulance to the University’s orthopedic hospital. He is resting well.
Sources: Star Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy is being released from the hospital today after getting shot in the upper leg on early Sunday morning. He plans to head to Missouri’s campus immediately to begin rehabbing with the goal of playing this year.
