Club statement - Lee Smith.
One of the harder ones this.
It is with regret that we announce that we have parted ways with manager Lee Smith.
Lee joined lydney in November 2024, with the season looking bleak. His enthusiasm, dedication and work ethic became addictive as he steered the club away from relegation and into another season. Sadly this year has not gone to plan, and the club have made the incredibly difficult decision to part ways.
Lee’s attitude, commitment and desire will never be questioned and we have all made a friend for life. Thank you for all you have done for us, mate.
Both Sean McKeon and Warren Evans have also left the club and we thank them for their effort and commitment in their time with us.
Richard Goodwin and Jordi Sheen will lead the team for the remainder of the season assisted by previous manager James Morse and club stalwart Ross Lindsay.

📌𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞📌
Sadly, after spending forty-nine seasons at the Cribbs Sports & Social Club in Henbury, we will not be playing football there next season. Our landlord, Redmaids’ High School GDST, served a 12 month notice of lease cessation that ends on 30 April 2026. They kindly offered we could continue to use the football pitches and clubhouse by hiring the facilities, which we were grateful for the opportunity.
Understandably, Redmaids want to upgrade and modernise the site for the benefit of their students. Up to six facility improvement projects are being considered by the School and their parent Trust. As that preparatory work progressed, it became obvious that access to the football pitches would be impacted for season 2026/27 and possibly into 2027/28 too. At a recent meeting on Friday 27 February, Redmaids told us the bad news that pitches wouldn't be available for season 2026/27 at least. They did say we will be welcomed back as hirers, when their development projects are finalised.
We, as a committee, are seeking to find solutions so that ALL of our teams can continue to play football in the local area, including our affiliated junior section, Shire Colts. We appreciate parents will be disappointed that the pathway for their children has been impacted but the committee are committed in trying to re-establish that pathway.
We are being advised and supported by Gloucestershire Football Association, for which we really appreciate their help.
The club has made great memories in BS10 with great people, progressing from the Bristol & Avon League when we arrived, through the Avon Premier Combination, into the national non-league system via the Gloucestershire County League, the Western League, onto the Hellenic League title and the Southern League.
Football clubs are not about bricks and mortar; they are founded on the people within them. Cumulatively, our club officials have over one hundred and fifty years with the club and we hope for many more, as we continue to develop the next generation of Cribbs footballers.
Thank you all for your support and please watch here for updates on our progress.

Yesterday marked the return of Tyler Weir, making his comeback after 16 months out through injury.
It was brilliant to see you back out there, Tyler. 🌼

Before anything appears elsewhere, I want to briefly address this myself.
The club has decided to bring in a new/old manager and have asked me to step aside and remain as a player. This decision makes no sense to me, a lot of my players and I’m sure a lot of others, but ultimately it’s the one that has been made.
After the last 5-6 months and the work I’ve put in building this squad and creating a winning mentality with results to prove, that’s not something I’m comfortable with, so my time at Corsham has come to an end
Winning 12 of our 17 games and putting the club back in a position to achieve our end goal is something I’m incredibly proud of, in my first stint at management. The lads bought into everything we were trying to build and their effort and commitment has been top class
I’m gutted I won’t get the chance to finish the job I started, but it’s been a privilege working with such a great group of players, staff, volunteers and everyone involved…I thank you all @CorshamTownFC
New challenge awaits ❤️
