We had several ECR attendees that we paid for with travel money from NSF show up in Helsinki only to find out their talks were canceled without any notice. It all worked out in the end and they got to give talks, but the lack of communication was stressful

⁦United airlines couldn’t quite manage to get us to Barcelona within 3 days of our mutually agreed upon date, but they did drop us off in Zurich. Totally different holiday concept, but not half bad.
