@Trenciarte Yeah he’s two years with the Padres make up nearly his entire career WAR so that definitely could be the case. I’m only interested on a short term deal so if he’s looking for a big deal then yeah I’d be less interested.

@scottcoleman55 I think they’re just trying to free up money for next year. Next year is our last year on this shitty TV deal, revenue should increase quite a bit with a new TV deal.

Interesting that the Braves only did Bummer for 3.5M next year and Lopez goes 8-14-8. Either they’re trying to do some luxury tax maneuvering or they don’t care about it and really clearing money for 2025

@scottcoleman55 Diamond Group already said they aren’t getting rid of us but the contract is up after next year which means we’ll be able to shop our rights again which will be a huge revenue increase for us.

I think the Braves are a big enough market and cash cow to not have to go the MLB broadcast route But It is an enormous win for fans when this happens. It was $99 for every Diamondbacks game with NO BLACKOUTS this past season
