SnapOrtho was created out of frustration with remembering last name eponyms in orthopaedics. To tackle this, we provide straightforward and effective memory aids

Something interesting each year is the stark difference between number of DO students ‘applying’ to ortho on ERAS vs the number ‘ranking’ ortho on NRMP If you look at ranking ortho as first choice, 43% of DO seniors matched. If you look at all that applied, 29.2% matched (!!!)

We’re heading to Vegas baby!! This year I focused on the human side of this process. We try so hard to be objective with scores, grades, research, etc but the relationships you form and being yourself is what matters most! Thank you to everyone who believed in me! #matchday2026

Failure to match in orthopaedic surgery is not rare. In our @jbjs article, we outline a structured, mentor-driven approach to supporting unmatched applicants, including honest debriefing, interim year strategies, research alignment, and realistic reapplication planning. --> A Playbook for the Mentor/Mentee How we guide these trainees says as much about our profession as how we train those who match. #orthotwitter #MedEd #Match2026 cc: @randymcohn @ZuckerSoM journals.lww.com/jbjsoa/fulltex…

Taking call with @UABOrtho has been such an amazing experience over the last few months. Been able to scrub into such interesting cases like a distal femur fracture with vascular compromise and a gluteal compartment syndrome fasciotomy. Amazing training and operative exposure!
