@RatGuard1 @KurtSupeCPA she's 39, if she isn't responsible now she wont be anytime soon
English

@SnkrTrunk @KurtSupeCPA or they are waiting for their children to become responsible enough to handle it.

Couple comes in for their annual review.
$2.8 million. Well invested. Solid Pension. Completely on track.
I ask the question I ask everyone.
"How is your daughter doing?"
Mom's face changed first.
Their daughter is 39. Hasn't asked for anything. Never complained.
But she's been in the same apartment for six years.
Daycare alone is $1,800 a month. Down payment feels impossible.
Dad said "we always figured she'd get it eventually."
I pulled up a simple chart.
Statistically they live to 88. She inherits at 56. Maybe 60.
At 60 her own retirement is eight years away.
The money that could change everything at 39 arrives when her finish line is already close.
Neither of them had ever seen it framed that way.
The annual gift exclusion is $19,000 per parent per child.
They can move $38,000 a year to her. No gift tax. No estate implications.
Over ten years that's $380,000 transferred while they're healthy enough to watch it matter.
Dad looked at his wife.
"Why are we waiting?"
Most families leave everything at death because nobody showed them the math of giving it while they're alive.
English

@teaboone @KurtSupeCPA agreed they should die with nothing and enjoy everything they have built with themselves and their family, this case sounds like the daughter will end with it eventually when parents have passed and they are already 60+ years old and have probably built their own retirement plan
English

@SnkrTrunk @KurtSupeCPA lol. Or they are teaching their kids that nothing comes free. My parents have similar assets and don’t give us anything. We are on our own. As it should be. They should try to spend it on themselves and die with nothing.

🚨🚨🚨THIS IS A MAJOR WORLD CRISIS. 🚨🚨🚨
The South Pars gas field → the single largest natural gas reserve on the planet → was struck by Israeli airstrikes.
Let that sink in.
The fire has now spread to Qatar's largest LNG plant. The same Qatar that just gave Trump a $400 million Boeing jet.
💀 South Pars — BOMBED. The world's largest gas field.
💀 Qatar LNG plant — ON FIRE. Largest in the world.
💀 Iran has taken several phases of South Pars OFFLINE
💀 Iran says it will take "DECISIVE ACTION"
💀 Iran hit 9 COUNTRIES in a single night — including 7 of the wealthiest nations on earth
⚠️ The U.S. spent 20 years in Afghanistan and never once hit a country's energy grid. Israel did it in ONE NIGHT.
⚠️ Europe gets 20% of its LNG from Qatar. That supply is now at RISK.
⚠️ Global gas prices are about to EXPLODE.
The media is showing you Iron Dome interceptions and victory speeches.
They're NOT showing you the largest gas field on earth ON FIRE.
If this was "under control," why is Iran mobilizing across 9 countries? If the damage was "minimal," why are multiple phases of South Pars completely OFFLINE?
You don't bomb the world's largest energy reserve and expect peace. You don't set fire to a nation's lifeline and call it "precision strikes."
Iran's response won't be a press conference. It'll be the BIGGEST energy retaliation the world has ever seen. 50% of the world is about to go DARK.
Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨

@ctvedmonton Ha hilarious, shows what the Alberta government thinks of its youths education. Who needs quality trained teachers when they’ve scrubbed the curriculum to teach garbage anyway

Rising costs for housing, groceries, and gas are pushing more people into debt and making it harder to save.

@DudespostingWs I have a complete one and one I use for parts as the kids play with it haha they love this thing and nothing made today compares to it

@TrdeToScale I would take Option B with the entire plan of moving into the office after the fact of getting the field knowledge. You make great money while you're young and gain experience to justify the office job in your later years. I know from experience that this is the move.

@ShaziGoalie yea because if you are smart you make sure that your estate has nothing in it and your shit is tied to a trust for your family / kids so the debt dies with you

@globeandmail What happened was Canada healthcare and big pharma has pushed birth control on young girls to “help” with acne etc then cause very serious and hidden issues with hormones and cycles, of course fertility is down they have been silently sterilizing our population for years

@JonFlynnREstats @ronmortgageguy About to start throwing 15-20% below listing offers if the house is priced like it’s 2021 and on unceded land, not gonna get caught out like they are in BC
English

True story, some agent just showed one of my listings and phoned me with a verbal offer 10% lower than the list price.
I said wtf have you been watching @ronmortgageguy
English

@ronmortgageguy This happened to us last week, my wife and I both received reassessment emails, hers stating she owes $1000 immediately because they found $10k of income that wasn’t declared but that makes no sense because it was all pulled from turbo tax and net file so where did this come from
English

@ShaziGoalie Looking forward to seeing more power of sales come into play

🚨 1990s housing crisis… round two.
Buyers now have a new risk in Canada’s housing market.
The seller might not even be able to afford to sell.
Some deals are collapsing because the sale price doesn’t cover the seller’s debts, penalties, taxes, and loans.
In one case, the buyer had to put in extra cash just to close.
