Texas AG Ken Paxton sued Discord and is demanding mandatory government ID age verification for every user: driver's licenses, face scans, and data cross-checks before you can chat or join a server. Framed as protecting kids, in reality, it's ending anonymous internet access one platform at a time. Discord already had a partner-related breach exposing tens of thousands of uploaded government IDs.
