The news that Mia® increased the breast cancer detection rate by 12% @NHSGrampian @aberdeenuni has been the subject of a Scottish Parliamentary motion of congratulations. We are grateful for this recognition, which was presented by @KevinStewartSNP and supported by 20+ MSPs.

@jameswise Agree that @KheironMedical / Mia is amazing (and proud that they’re a @join_ef company) - but what we need far more than a summit is an end to regressive and anti-tech screening rules that make it hard for the NHS to procure tech like this at scale. Huge shame.

Kheiron has completed another large-scale study with its Mia AI tool reviewing over 200K mammograms from women across different ethnicities and geographic regions in the UK.  We have the evidence to show that Mia generalises and doesn't introduce bias in any ethnic subgroup.

Based on prospective results published in @Nature @nytimes, we project that our AI Mia® can help save 2,000 UK women's lives every year by finding their cancers earlier. That's a material contribution to the @CRUK_Policy's target of preventing 20,000 cancer deaths each year.
