woke up and my mentions are full of these Both me and @davemorin tried to talk sense into Anthropic, best we managed was delaying this for a week. Funny how timings match up, first they copy some popular features into their closed harness, then they lock out open source.

Either change the source code to point to any model you want and fix the limit yourself if you have a copy 🧑‍💻 Or edit the config file to point to any Anthropic-compatible model you want ⚙️ Don’t ditch the tool just because they gate it 🔓

gone full open source. Official Claude Code running on GLM 5 + OpenClaw on Gemma 4 locally on my Mac mini 🔓 good luck selling me another overpriced $200 sub with arbitrary limits, just to threaten me with a ban for using it with OpenClaw ✌️

@IntrepidTF07 Just run it through Ollama. Gemma 4 takes 24GB of RAM to run and fits on my Mac Mini with 32GB of unified RAM just fine. GLM is too large to run locally unless you have a top-spec Mac Studio

Anthropic has poor taste in April Fool’s jokes 🤢 Just admit you’re salty about Claude Code getting leaked and started banning users over it 🤡 At least OpenAI and Google actually publish open-source models 👀
