@GingerGeek In order for an AI to pay taxes it would also need an income, no? If so who's gonna pay it? Also does it have to pay NI? Does it get free healthcare? What about employee benefits? Does the AI require a pension for when it's old or obsolete? So many questions to answer. 😬

I am perhaps being naive as in the short term people will move to other jobs and some tax revenue will stay the same but if AI leads to systematic unemployment surely that will fundamentally shift ratio of “valuable economic activity”:”tax revenues”? Will govs need to tax AI?

Has any work/thought been done on the implication of AI on tax systems? eg if a business switches from using human agents (employer NIC, tax contributions, etc) to machine agents (non-taxed machine work) If this happens systematically does that not create a wider problem?

So glad the @MinecraftWikiEN is no longer under Fandom. Not only is their platform slow and a crap UX, but their background as a company is highly questionable and dodgy too. I do miss the ability to set a max width to the page view for easier readability tho.
