I had a job interview today, the first thing they asked me was straight up "So do you use AI". When I told them I "prefer not to use it in my personal life" the Danish supervisor lady did an over the top 😬.

‘The Lord of the Rings’ upcoming open-world game is rumored to be in development at Warhorse Studios (creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance), according to journalist Ryszard Chojnowski. Embracer Group owns both LOTR game rights and Warhorse Studios.

@G0ffThew In particular this often ends up centering the conflict between the two male characters who have to compete to "win" the female character, which often ironically deprives the female character of choice even if the story otherwise respects her agency

@G0ffThew Also like if there's a major female character in a piece of media there's like an 80% chance she's gonna be forced into a love triangle whether it makes sense or not; why a lot of media critics started treating them as always bad.

Love triangles are really frustrating if you see love stories primarily as comfy vectors for wish fulfillment, but if you read them as character studies the trope is an incredibly powerful writing tool

Unironically a Resident Evil game set in Egypt with Sheva Alomar in it and BOWs based off Egyptian folklore is one of the harder hitting fan suggestions I've seen tossed around for a Resident Evil game. I'd honestly love that, but of course to see whatever Capcom chooses.

@AestheticGamer1 as much as i disliked 7 and 8 straying away with the mythical creature designs, at this point set a game in egypt, make it an atmospheric horror setting, sheva is the main character sent to investigate an outbreak, creatures inspired by the Egyptian underworld. id play that.

When i play next rogue trader dlc with necrons i will choose the most obnoxious dogmatic character, maybe make them ex-commissar or w/e and every time any necron or Trazyn try to engage in dialogue with me i will answer with "SILENCE XENO SCUM AND DIE IN THE NAME OF THE EMPRAH"

@jigokuma_yo @Okami13_ Supposedly Dragon’s Dogma 2 suffered the exact same problem at one point. It could be a bug with the RE engine. The engine both games apparently run on.
