@emm0sh You said that in such a kind way, we used to use some other words to described roadies. Pro tip: Use hex anchor rivet bushes because you can still get a spanner on them if they are knocked loose.

entertainment machinery is so high because often times you don’t have time to do thorough enough analysis. also, things assemble/disassemble constantly so you need to bake in extra “oomph” in case technicians forget something

I have to say @willchamberlain on @PiersUncensored was absolutely phenomenal. Before I watched any of this, I saw posts from the likes of Dave Smith, of course implying that Will “lost the debate,” which couldn’t be further from the truth. He absolutely dominated the conversation. He spoke clarity and with pure common sense. The most brutal part is where he made Joe Kent look like the complete idiot he is: “Why couldn’t you persuade Pete Hegseth of any of this? He didn’t agree with you, and he has better intelligence than you. You weren’t privy to any of this stuff. You just don’t know. That’s why you’re now on the outside doing podcasts.”

idea: instead of having a single connector operate at multiple voltages without warning, what if we had some way to exchange information between charger and device so they can negotiate an appropriate voltage. call it "power delivery". could we use usbc and barrel jack for this?

@martyrmade Internal assessment is based on winning war based on objective, objectively they lost but who took the most damage? Lebanese and Hezebollah So can we stop playing with Lebanese life's? Stop toying with defenseless civilians?

@recorderson @martyrmade By your standard there is not mutually agreed ceasefire either because there is not authoritative, bilateral confirmation. Understand how dumb you sound?

There is no authoritative, bilateral confirmation that this was a mutually agreed concession across all parties. Only unilateral statements from two parties. One Pakistani and the other Iranian, to the best of my knowledge. Additionally, there is no coherent legal or operational basis to treat Hezbollah as bound by this ceasefire. Is Iran is trying to expand the perceived scope of the ceasefire without accepting the legal consequences of controlling those actors? I’m not buying that we mutually conceded this point without seeing real receipts like official communique or recordings that explicitly state that Hezbollah, a non-state actor in a different battle space, was included.

Iran has been consistent and clear that any ceasefire or peace deal must include Lebanon, and any observer should assume Iran will not abandon Hezbollah after the group’s loyalty against ISIS, and now in this current war. Hez has distinguished itself as the best light infantry force in the region, and Iran’s deterrent depends on the loyalty of its regional allies. If Trump allows Israel to continue pounding Lebanon, the war will resume, simple as that. Peace is on the table. Iran and the Trump administration clearly want it. If Israel doesn’t want it, it’s not our problem, and Trump should let them fight their own war.

Israel deployed the world’s first operational laser defense system last year specifically to kill drones at $3 a shot instead of $100K per interceptor. They ran competitive trials with nine defense companies and twenty counter-drone technologies, partnered with the US DoD on joint C-UAS development, and fielded mobile EW/airburst systems on light vehicles. The cope cage is what you build when you don’t have a defense-tech ecosystem. Israel skipped the duct tape phase.

@DineshDSouza The war is unwinnable because the strategic goals cannot be achieved. In fact, progress towards them has been in reverse due to the choice to enter war, instead of continuing to try political means; which were making progress.

What makes the war “unwinnable”? What is the point of having the world’s greatest military if it is faced with “unwinnable” prospects even against smaller, poorer, technologically inferior adversaries?
Mel@Villgecrazylady

If you’re rooting for America to continue fighting this unwinnable war that will ultimately bring about the collapse of the world’s energy markets and the American dollar, you are in fact, rooting *against* America. That is an indisputable fact.

James thinks his followers are stupid, he may be correct, but he is stupid as well. James believes he can just spout lies about a very popular thinkers work and that no one will call him out on his lies.
James Lindsay, anti-Communist@ConceptualJames

This is kinda mostly true, yeah. While Hoppe believes in a magical stateless society like the Communists, the problem is short-term feasibility. The Communists offer the socialist dictatorship of the proletariat, and Libertarian Hoppe recommends a monarchy. Lol.

I don’t know. But the claim that the departing US forces blew up their HC-130s sounds off. Also, there must be a good reason (other than availability) why Ospreys weren’t used for the extraction. They’re literally built to avoid what’s being claimed.

@ConceptualJames He didn't recommend monarchy, he pointed out that the incentives of a monarch align more closely with those of a private property owner than those of a democratic caretaker do, so to speak.

In case you wonder what's up with them, all these idiot Libertarian accounts ("Comic" Dave Smith, Tom Woods, Libertarian Party) are huge devotees of noted Jew-hater Hans-Hermann Hoppe who believed Marx was correct about everything and could be retooled into a Libertarian by reorienting his whole awful program around Austrian economics (which requires and forwards economic liberty, hilariously enough). Javier Milei, who is a real libertarian and not a Marxist-infected idiot, recently kicked Hoppe out and called him a libertidiot, which has these guys all worked up and on the attack.

@NSKinsella This kind of stuff bugs me. You don't try not to insert yourself, you just hang around the periphery, just letting people know that you can be of help in particular situations if they just ask. But no, your good will is ignored. It makes one want to just cut ties.

"Update: as I explained to a fellow LP member, they could have at least asked me how to handle this. I’m on the JC, a lifetime LP member, and a well known libertarian theorist and IP attorney and outspoken opponent of IP. I would have told them, look, if you want to save money and do this the most ethical way, just negotiate a license and disclaimer. That accomplishes the main goal and addresses most of the real concerns (e.g. of abandonment of mark). Then ask a trademark lawyer/litigator about this idea and see what they say. But I am sure they did not do this; it did not even occur to them. If they were familiar with the Platform they would have realized that IP is illegitimate per Plank 2.1 (and this is one problem with failing to explicitly mention IP there instead of having it be implied, which happened because of a goof by the Mises Caucus in Reno in 2022). Instead they are acting immorally and using precious scarce money. We cannot afford it AND we do not need to do it! They are just doing the mainstream thing. It’s sad." triopolitan.com/2026/03/16/lib… Libertarian Party Trademark Assertions and Enforcement c4sif.org/2025/10/libert… x.com/i/grok/share/1…
