@ADoseofBuckley People are really struggling to face reality, that they cherish their comfort and convenience WAY TO MUCH nowadays. Having these cute chats on X, just because food is delivered to them and don't waste time on Blockbuster.
They have an episode every time losing this cozy state.

Everyone that says they want this? Doesn't. I guarantee it. You'd be sick of it by the 3rd time you had to drive the movie back/went and didn't get the one you wanted. Streaming services existed while Blockbuster existed, they won because of the convenience.

I’ve faced 3 “F2P” Frost Deathknight to start my Hearthstone brawl on this fine morning. I understand the hustle for free packs but not seeing new cards in opponent decks remains an annoying part of these prerelease events.

I rarely make Infinite this early, as I don’t often play ladder on live until midseason.
But this deck was a lot of fun and felt really strong! Definitely requires higher awareness of enemy plans than most decks, since priority is huge.

This is such a low-IQ take.
When your child draws a picture of your family, it makes you feel something.
Not because of the crayon's quality, but because we resonate with the message.
The tools used do not matter.
They never have.
Art has always been subjective, and the medium has never stopped humans from ascribing meaning.
From cave paintings to fertility sculptures to film cameras, and now generative cameras.
I just spent a week in Hollywood watching my friend generate new sequences based on real footage because they didn't have the budget to film 100,000 soldiers on location.
He then recorded performances of the actors using the same motion capture tools that they used on Avatar, but now AI lets him map the performance on the characters for a 1/10th of the time and cost.
I couldn't actually tell that it was AI; it looked incredible.
Because it was driven by a real filmmaker, with real actors.
The paintbrush does not matter.
The reason AI films don't make you feel emotion right now is due to technical shortcomings and talent scarcity.
That will change very soon as mass adoption occurs.

People debate whether AI will ever be able to create good art. The answer is no. It’s impossible. If AI progresses exponentially for 100 years it still won’t be able to create any art, even bad art. That’s because art by definition is an expression of the human heart. It’s a language that can only be spoken or understood by beings with rational souls. AI can create spectacle. It can create distraction. In that sense it can create “entertainment” in its cheapest and most worthless form. But you can only confuse the machine’s soulless bullshit with art if you have made yourself nearly as numb and soulless as the machine itself.
