@BurnerKesling That’s the gamble they will have to take. Don’t set your sights to high but don’t settle to low, you have to know your true value. Factor in how long did it take to get this offer and will another come before the end of your enrollment, then make your decision.

@gecko_gordan Everyone’s job search is different. I’ve applied to multiple positions in my industry; which I have high student debt for, and been turn down multiple times because people are accepting salaries amounts that were offered 9 years ago. I will return for proper position & pay.

@gravehopp Unemployment is taxable; you opt to pay now or at the end of the year, and doesn’t come with healthcare. When applying for healthcare they consider unemployment taxable income.

If you reapply and do not qualify for a regular UI claim, you will continue collecting the rest of your PEUC claim. Then, EDD will add the additional 29 weeks of PEUC benefits available with new federal legislation. Bit.ly/UIBYE

PEUC claimants at the end of benefit year: If you reapply and qualify for a regular UI claim, but the new weekly benefit amount is less than your old PEUC extension, you will finish collecting the rest of your PEUC extension and then EDD will switch you to a new claim.

@CA_EDD Thank you for finally addressing the PEUC debacle, however, what of those who are still within their benefit year, but have exhausted all benefits, have been granted the extension, but still cannot certify new weeks and have received zero payment?

@CA_EDD What about claimants with a benefit year that have expired, why haven’t you automatically enrolled them into PEUC? I’ve talked to two reps and both are you should of been paying me these past two months but continue to keep me in limbo. Quit trying lie with the bs Twitter posts.

@MirabaiGrace @CA_EDD I’m in the same exact boat, mine doesn’t expire until 09/2021 and yet they still can’t auto enroll me into the federal extension. I feel like they’re holding out so our claim expires or the state elects to drop federal extension; like 11 other states have, and they don’t pay us.

@CA_EDD EDD put me on an old, expired claim when my claim does not expire until Sept. 2021! You have not paid me in almost two months!!! HELP!

EDD is proactively reaching out to claimants via email and text to remind them to reapply for #unemployment benefits after 12 months when their benefit year ends. SMS text alert messages from EDD will show as 510-74 or 918-06.
