@CA_EDD This is quite possibly your most useless tweet to date. If you don't want to answer the phone or respond to our tweet replies, at least answer us through the UI Online messaging system. Customer service should be rolling 24/7 to clean up this mess.

Find your benefit year end date by logging in to UI Online and viewing your Claim Summary. Your benefit year end date is 12 months after the start of your claim. You can also refer to your award notice for your claim ending date. Bit.ly/UIBYE

#Unemployment claims are good for one year, then expire. Has it been more than 12 months since you filed your claim? If you still need benefits you must apply for a new claim, even if you are on an extension or have money left on your expired claim. Bit.ly/UIBYE

@CA_EDD Hi EDD, can you please re-tweet this with your response: If you have been granted the PEUC extension and are within your benefit year, exhausted your benefits and have not yet been able to certify additional weeks, the reason is: [Insert EDD response here].

@CA_EDD Thank you for finally addressing the PEUC debacle, however, what of those who are still within their benefit year, but have exhausted all benefits, have been granted the extension, but still cannot certify new weeks and have received zero payment?

If you reapply and do not qualify for a regular UI claim, you will continue collecting the rest of your PEUC claim. Then, EDD will add the additional 29 weeks of PEUC benefits available with new federal legislation. Bit.ly/UIBYE

PEUC claimants at the end of benefit year: If you reapply and qualify for a regular UI claim, but the new weekly benefit amount is less than your old PEUC extension, you will finish collecting the rest of your PEUC extension and then EDD will switch you to a new claim.

@CA_EDD Can you please address the PEUC extension issue. Why was it not applied automatically for some & Why have some people that have been put on extension not yet been able to certify, nor have seen any retro payment, or any payment at all? @GavinNewsom

EDD is proactively reaching out to claimants via email and text to remind them to reapply for #unemployment benefits after 12 months when their benefit year ends. SMS text alert messages from EDD will show as 510-74 or 918-06.

@CA_EDD One of the basics of good customer service: Keep your customers informed. Bad news is better than no news, as long as the end user knows what's going on. So many people have the same issues: ADDRESS THOSE ISSUES! Stop with the BS tweets.

@CA_EDD These tweets do nothing to inform people of the REAL issues. Tell us why the PEUC extension didn't happen automatically for everyone. Tell us why so many payments are stuck as pending. Do a USEFUL press release. Open up live chat on UI online.

Allow up to 10 days from the date of your telephone interview for EDD to reach a decision. If you are eligible for unemployment benefits, we will process your payments. Keep an eye on your UI Online account for payment status updates.

@dixon_coffey @CA_EDD Not yet. The tier 2 said that I would get the notification within 3 days from the call (turned out to be true) and that I would have the ability to certify and would 'see the money' including retro within 8-13 days. We'll see.

@Rodrigo37347068 @CA_EDD Hey, I meant to follow up with that. It was the 800.300.5616 then 1,2,4. The first rep to answer seems to be luck of the draw. On my successful call, I was courteous, but basically had to demand to be sent to a tier 2.

@CA_EDD I should mention that today was the only time that I actually spoke to a tier 2 rep. The other calls were just the first rep blowing smoke up my a$$.

@CA_EDD flagged by the system which would work itself out eventually, but as we see they totally missed the 04/17 target date. Hope this might help.
