How do you say hello in another language?

@AliBeckZeck Yep! My life-altering #trauma was shoved into a cluttered closet. At the same time family said, "Why can't you do this?!" "Why do you behave this way?!" Society has been cruel.

Psychiatry has failed to look at the root cause of this person’s symptoms, which in vast majority of cases is TRAUMA, then they add mind altering drugs on top of the unprocessed trauma, & we wonder why our #mentalhealth is tanking & suicides are rising. Psychiatry is total bunk.

One of the most damaging things western medicine/psychiatry does is deny the impact #trauma has on people & instead use their symptoms of #CPTSD to diagnose them w/an illness they use a psychotropic pill to “fix,” when the pill only exacerbates their CPTSD. It’s all backwards.

@AliBeckZeck Uh-huh! "We'll try this drug. If it doesn't work, we'll up the dosage. If that doesn't work, we'll try this one. If you build up a tolerance, we'll try this one." At some point, I thought, "This isn't right." I knew the SSRIs caused my sudden weight gain, but they denied it.

Psychiatry says: “Now, your reaction to this drug may be: suicidal &/or homicidal thoughts, more anxiety, weight gain, libido loss, depression, dizziness or other stuff….but we’ll keep trying other drugs or adding more to this one until you feel better. This is nonsensical.

@AliBeckZeck Yep! I endured a life-altering birth trauma and was without oxygen for ten minutes. My mother, who didn't want me, is a master at being in denial. She and allopathic doctors have repeatedly dismissed the trauma, giving me medication after medication to "solve" my sleep disorder.

Therapists/psychiatrists should be doing deep dives into their client’s history/current situations: Are they safe? Have they ever been physically beaten? Suffered a traumatic & intense situation they haven’t processed/grieved yet? Are they around safe/supportive people?
