@mabpowell Hi Matthew, the National Gird energy saving sessions are a trial. If the trial is successful and is something that looks to be permanently implemented we will work with the National Grid with our customers systems performing in Grid Balancing. Many Thanks, Sarah.

@SocialEnergyUK Morning can you explain why on the app I have it states my house is using 1700 Kw even tho I turn the mains off. My house is eco and I never use anymore than 600kw max I’ve noticed this over the last two weeks. Also my battery seems to not be fully charged

@Axelrose1993 Hi Garry, I think there is some confusion here about the figures you are seeing on the app - this is shown in Watts and not kWh but if you can DM me your details and the time frame you are refering too, I expect you were balancing the grid which we pay you for :)

@drsm79 We are still here to pay you for grid services you provide! You will be billed for energy that is measured through your electricity meter but our credits always cover any excess import your property didn't need. DM me your details and I'll email you with some more info :)

@SocialEnergyUK how does grid services work now you no longer provide our electricity? Are we billed by our new provider for what comes in to the battery?

@DeanNGrass Hi Dean, I think there has been some confusion about the credits you get from us - we are not a SEG provider, so this is not for your exported energy but we will drop you an email with some more information if you can DM us your account details. Thanks,

@SocialEnergyUK what is the point? Id prefer not to send any electric back to the grid and use it myself. Not bad considering electricity prices have gone up, and for some reason my electric going back to the grid has gone down. #pureshitesystem

@Fairy3200 @ProjectSolarBE Hi Claire, I am sorry to hear your inverter is broken. SE are able to help with any SE Hub issues but an inverter fault will need to be explored by your installer. I will be reviewing your account today and will be back in touch with our findings. Thanks, Stevie

@ProjectSolarBE An independent engineer has confirmed today our inverter is BROKEN. We have been telling you and @SocialEnergyUK that something was wrong since 2020!! You did not listen and this has cost us financially. Shocking. Go elsewhere if you are considering solar.

@SocialEnergyUK Hi, it turns out that the middle switch on the main Social Energy unit had tripped. I’ve pushed it back to it’s standard position so I am hoping that the system will connect again today. Please could you let me know if it does, so far it hasn’t

@SocialEnergyUK Please could you advise how I will be able to monitor battery charge, usage and health, now that you’re no longer trading? I can use my MyEnergi equipment for some of this but not the specifics of the battery health, etc

@shinobi_brian Thanks Brian, your security settings may be stopping the data being sent to us. I will reply on our email with some setting changes you can make but If it doesn't make a difference - contact your installer who will be able to send an engineer out to the property!

@shinobi_brian Thanks for that Brian, as I asked in my previous email can I ask who your internet provider is, as their security settings might be stopping the system from sending us the information needed on the app. Thanks, Stevie

@shinobi_brian Hi Brian, I have replied to your email on 4th April - are you able to get back to me with some further information so I can look into the connectivity for you. It still looks as though your system isn't connected to the internet. Thanks, Social Energy

We didn't realise just how much of an impact our Co-Founder @Julwiley would have on the government. 🤭😉 But here we are... Zero VAT on solar panels for the next five years. 👏 We're so excited by what this change means for the solar market. #watchthisspace

For the next five years, homeowners having energy saving materials like solar panels, heat pumps, or insulation installed will pay zero VAT. The relief used to be more generous but the European Courts of Justice required us to restrict its eligibility.
