While the rest of the world’s best women football players are learning, developing & thriving in professional club youth academies, the US still believes @ECNLgirls is a developmental pathway. Clubs develop players, not “elite” leagues. Education matters most.

@Smitty1915 Its been the last 4/5 yrs they have introduced Academys under pro teams, so it will evolve. Our system hasnt changed and will not, that was my point.

@Socresource So I’m agreed that many nations are catching up and that the US should appreciate advancing when many other powers didn’t and you tell me I’m off the mark because Germans have better training options… when they didn’t advance?? Not a strong argument.

This was my point the other day… the USWNT has not looked good, but they advanced and they are solid defensively… one game at a time now. Look at those nations going home- world powers. Keep it all in perspective.

✌🏻choices to keep the USWNT relevant at the top of the game. 👆🏻NO cost Girls development academy at every USL Super League+ NWSL club U12, 14, 16 and reserve teams. Train 4x a week 10 months a year and play one game a week against boys teams. ✌🏻USWYNT U15 + U17 residency. 2.

@ciaramccormack Another huge plus is that they watch the game!!

@MCameron008 Big problem, kids do not watch the game, they play a sport rest of World plays the game!!

too many people don’t know why, or accept why, the world has caught up little or nothing will improve without federation intervention coaches, “elite” youth leagues, & the college game, aren’t just going to change for the betterment of the game/player development
