Day 194 Residency :- Got a code Blue call from ICU II, turns out a ASA 1 Pt. Aspirated in ward posted for Elective OT went into cardiac arrest. Revived the Pt. After 3 cycles of CPR f/b Intubation. Vitally stable now, just came back Extubating her. #Anesthesia 💙

Before admission i was curious to
ask why there was so much delay
in diagnosis. Upon asking i realized
the pt. Went to those physicians
who had crowded opds and most
of the physicians didn't even
auscultated him.

On examination, I noted bilateral
lower limb pitting edema & on
auscultation heard fine crackles.
So, i ordered an 2D Echo and
ProBnp.
EF was 40% and ProBnp was
raised. Thus, confirming my
provisional diagnosis of CHF😌.
Pt. Was admitted under cardiology
