@nowak_paul Cost will go up to cover the increases, so you will still be bottom of the pile and no better off in real terms.

The UK has just introduced a per-mile tax for driving your car. To start with it’s just 3p per mile and just for electric cars. Going to visit your family who live 3 hours away will now cost you £10 extra every time. But then it will obviously become 5p and then 10p and then £1 all in the name of “saving the environment”. And then it’s won’t just be electric cars, but every car on the road. This won’t take long either. Just watch. “Yes, you do have freedom of movement, but your trip to Nottingham to see your elderly parents will cost you £300 in tax”. An entirely backward policy that stifles conversion to electric, penalises people who live in rural parts of the UK, and adds another Big Brother lens watching your every move. Rich people driving 5 miles from Mayfair to meet friends at the restaurant = negligible tax. Regular people living in north England driving 100 miles a day to do 2x school runs and get to/from work will just have to find £15 a week in extra tax from the magic money tree. Another policy that shows the Government is out of ideas.

@RichardBurgon If Labour had never done this before, it may seem a good idea, please look at your own parties history.

Billionaire wealth keeps piling up. Everyone else is left with less and less. With this mountain of pasta, I show why we need to tax the Billionaires.

The BBC is institutionally biased - in favour of Israel. That’s what’s the actual facts and statistics show. And that’s the real scandal. Me and @mehdirhasan break this down on @zeteo_news 👇👇

@KathleenWinche3 Never 1st, too much resistance :) I had an old car with a starter motor that used to get stuck, so a hammer was an essential tool to get it to start!

@MBorrigan59766 As you can clearly see on the graph, people with assets over £10 million, those who would be affected by the tax, are even more likely to support it.

It’s often said that if we tax the rich more they will just leave and overall tax revenue will be lower. Not only is there no evidence of this but the overwhelming majority of millionaires, especially those who would be affected, support a 2% wealth tax on assets over £10 million

Britain has the second-highest tidal range on the planet, behind Canada. And yet we make use of nearly none of it. If we seriously invest in tidal power, then we can create jobs, generate clean and cheap energy, and slash bills. My message to the Government 👇

Mr AntifaBot - AKA The Intolerant Left
This is utterly ridiculous Do you know what doesn't add up? Old people who can't heat their home Young mothers not being able to feed their babies Full time workers on the streets All the while the rich gets richer It's time to try what @ZackPolanski is selling

We are clearly drifting towards some form of right wing authoritarianism. That will be built by ideologues, opportunists, grifters, naive idiots and cowards. All will be held to account when the authoritarian edifice finally implodes, which it will.

⌛ We are facing an impending crisis of equality in politics. 🕛 If the clock is turned back on women's representation, we all lose out. Support women to get selected and elected - on November 21 #AskHerToStand and we will support her all the way.
