It's a regulated product by default, not depending on how great we code it on our own, Sana card it's the only one in the Sana ecosystem v2 that requires a regulated partner like Rain (the same partner used by KAST/Avici) to enable the Visa card for Sana.
Regulatory strengthening is happening on many fronts. In total, this stream of work has been in development for 4–5 months, with a successful IRL test across countries—especially in Brazil—last month, and an internal test two months ago.
Approval is not simply yes/no; it involves many background processes and multiple stages.
Two stages to clarify:
✅ Sana was approved for internal testing and limited testing—which is why you see people using it under the allowed circumstances.
⏳ Sana is waiting for approval for public release, when more than 2000 people will likely try to KYC for the Sana card. 🙏
For the ⏳ stage, everyone in public—holders, non-holders, traders, and consumers who have been waiting for Sana—has been waiting for this.
🟢 On the app side, the latest iOS/Android/Solana phone updates are ready with all v2 features reflecting the Sana card—once we get the green light for public release, it will auto-enable for retail users.
