You then go on to make assumptions on the intelligence of he or his team, because you haven’t seen a reporter challenge him? Reza Pahlavi and his aides have repeatedly claimed that, through their QR-code appeal to potential regime defectors, they received submissions from more than 100,000 Iranians, including members of the IRGC, the military, and paramilitary forces. Something I have not seen any reporter seriously challenge Pahlavi on is how he verified the authenticity of those defectors. This was a QR code broadcast on Iran International, open to anyone who wanted to submit information. This means that bad actors in the regime who wanted to cause trouble and any pranksters could submit their info pretending to be defectors. Neither he nor his team has the intelligence access or institutional capability to verify that those submissions were authentic, nor would they have the manpower to vet that many claims.
