@ckarani7 @Its_Roddie There is something called survivorship bias. Where those who have made it feel like those who haven't are lazy. Trust me, success is pure luck. Being at the right place at the right time is key to winning in life and you can't control the variables. Just keep trying.

had a job since i was 19, made my first 1m/month at 24, had no papers just knew how to code. kenyans need to take more accountability for their choices. truth is most just want sherehe all the time until they hit 28 and everyone starts asking you what your doing with your life. the system isn’t broken, the culture is
English

In Kenya, with only academic papers, without generational wealth, scamming and corruption, your life starts at 27- 30.. That's when you find a job, you find purpose and direction.. There is nothing like starting over at 29 because you haven't even started

@MissKwegah1 Tukikula nyama na wewe kamakis. And i have your business card. Mimi I have a lawyer from that point on.
English

Consultation fee: fee paid to speak with a lawyer and get legal opinion/advice.
Appearance fee: fee paid to have a lawyer show up in court for you.
Getting-up fee: the fee paid to a lawyer for preparing for and conducting a trial.
Retainership: fee paid to a lawyer so he can always be on stand by for you. Once you pay this, you can call that lawyer in the night and he’d show up for you. It’s this fee that can make you say boldly “I HAVE A LAWYER”
Legal fees: all the above combined depending on brief and work done.
Don’t mix them up.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@PaidInStress @kagondu_yvonne For illustration. Google these firms, wananchi online, zimele, sevenseas technologies, 3mice interactive, ogopa deejays, homeboyz djs, cellulant, pesa pal, jambo pay, and hundreds others. All were started when Millenials were "gen Z" and impact was insane on the country.
English

@PaidInStress @kagondu_yvonne Way more than that, and it's not one guy. Life happens... I am yet to see a gen z who touches the kind of money the Millenials were touching in the era of dotcom or one who has built solutions or companies like those from the millennial era when they were "Gen Z".
English

TBH, us millennials witnessed unemployment in Kenya at its prime. Things were bad.
We watched people finishing uni to stay home for years. Our parents would look at us with disappointment and one day they would stop supporting us financially, just like just, and you had to figure things out.
It was us millennials who started online hustling in Kenya. It was us millennials who started influencer work in Kenya. Because we had to get creative. Millennials started flying out to UAE countries to figure things out.
The sad reality is that even when you stop working because of maandamano, some people are still making money online, some people have their money working for them, some people are even making money off the maandamanos. You will not sit calmly at home when your default is anxiety because of unemployment.
So when you see a millennial aggressively pursuing their work it's because we see it as a gift from God and we don't take it for granted.

Millenials are never beating the allegations . Cycled to work today.😂

@PaidInStress @kagondu_yvonne I know Millenials who by 25 years already had a million dollars in cash in their accounts. To speak to them you needed to talk to their PA but in their forties don't even have any coin. Like sometimes life just kills the fight in you and there is nothing you can do about it.
English

@PaidInStress @kagondu_yvonne No. What happens is the optimism and enthusiasm you have in your twenties can get quenched if all your efforts don't amount to much in the long run. Twenties are warm ups, thirties is when you see the separation. And forties is where the lanes really happen.
