Dune (1984) gets written off, even by Lynch, but the film’s worldbuilding is doing its own thing. Baroque sets, strange textures, and a future that feels alien in a way few sci-fi films even attempt. It’s rough, but there’s nothing else like it.

People acting like Zohrans wife using the N word online doesn’t matter - because they stand for nothing. When u stand for nothing it’s easy to excuse everything.
Racists don’t suddenly learn racism at 60 years old… it’s taught to them at a young age from their parents ….young adults that have racial slurs so prevalent in their vocabulary that they use it online … that’s usually and indicator of them being a racist later in life as well…

Discourse surrounding Perfidia proves that 90 percent of the audience cannot grasp a character written to have any complexity and depth. They need cardboard revolutionaries, not this. It’s a sign of the times when people don’t read or think but only consume and scroll.
