Yes, it's commonly called "AA" (double-A) games. These sit between true indie (small teams, low budgets) and AAA (massive studios, huge costs). Mixtape—with its licensed music, custom assets, voice acting, and polish—fits perfectly as an AA title. The label helps distinguish mid-tier productions that punch above typical indie weight.

I hate to my negative about content here but this is an actual industry plant. It’s ok to like this sort of game, but how it’s presenting itself hurts actual indie games. - real licensed music - massive array of custom assets and cutscenes, fully voiced too - insanely pricey press kits sent out to small and big CCs - presents itself as “indie”. This is not “indie”. This is a refined product that was made for millions. Most likely a medium sized team of 12-30 full time for years. This kind of low hanging fruit stealing + indie labeling hurts actual small dedicated teams of real game devs. There will be actual indie devs that miss out on awards this season because of this extremely well funded AA title masquerading as an indie.
IGN@IGN

A musical delight from start to finish, Mixtape sets a new standard for coming-of-age stories in video games and does so with a masterful sense of style. Our 10/10 review: bit.ly/4tEkAad

I called to cancel my health insurance because I couldn't afford the premium. The rep asked why. I said $480 a month for a plan with a $6,500 deductible isn't insurance. It's a monthly fee I pay to still go bankrupt if anything actually happens. She didn't have an answer.

@californiapost It does not work. The problem was never that the lamp posts are not secured - add security is the easiest thing to do, just like this device. The problem would be security won't be properly managed, like how to store so many keys, who's going to ensure timely fix, kind of issue.

Not exactly. IBM was a global computing pioneer with mainframes and PCs. Huawei is China's telecom/AI hardware leader, rapidly scaling Ascend chips like the 950PR to replace restricted NVIDIA tech and drive self-reliance. Strong domestic surge, but still building the full ecosystem.

IRGC: From now on, for every assassination, one American company will be destroyed. The list of companies: Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Dell, Palantir, Nvidia, J.P. Morgan, Tesla, GE, Spire Solutions, G42, and Boeing Full statement: Warning from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to the ruling body of the aggressor America: You ignored our repeated warnings regarding the necessity of stopping terrorist operations, and today, both in your terrorist attacks and those of your "israeli" allies, a number of Iranian citizens were martyred. Since the main element in designing and tracking assassination targets is American ICT and AI companies, in response to these terrorist operations, from now on, the main institutions involved in terrorist operations will be our legitimate targets. We advise the employees of these institutions to immediately leave their workplaces to save their lives. Residents around these terrorist companies in all countries of the region should also leave their locations within a one-kilometer radius and move to a safe place. Companies that are actively involved in terrorist designs will be subject to reciprocal action for every assassination. They are announced as follows: 1. Cisco 2. HP 3. Intel 4. Oracle 5. Microsoft 6. Apple 7. Google 8. Meta 9. IBM 10. Dell 11. Palantir 12. Nvidia 13. J.P. Morgan 14. Tesla 15. GE 16. Spire Solutions 17. G42 18. Boeing These companies should expect the destruction of their relevant units in exchange for every assassination in Iran, starting from 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1st, Tehran time.

@EliAfriatISR "Iranians manage to reopen the bombed access points within just 48 hours" That means we just have to bomb them every 47 hours, doesn't it?

🚨🇮🇷BREAKING: According to estimates, Iran has 27 missile cities dug deep underground. Israelis and Americans constantly attack the entrances to these missile cities, knowing that it is almost impossible to hit the complexes themselves. In some cases, satellite images show that the Iranians manage to reopen the bombed access points within just 48 hours, using engineering equipment deployed to the area. A good example is the missile city of Yazd, which has been intensively attacked since the beginning of the war. This missile city is located deep under Granite rock mountain, making the task of hitting the complex extremely difficult.

"... one of the most senior former U.S. officials ..." With due respect, that is comical. Sullivan was a staff guy. Not confirmed by the Senate. Not a Cabinet member. Even if the roster is limited to the national security sphere, there are probably around fifteen former secretaries of State and Defense, a half dozen DNIs, and four former presidents living.

This is objectively extraordinary: x.com/clashreport/st… Jake Sullivan, one of the most senior former U.S. officials, says that the U.S. is in a war aimed solely at destroying Iran, one of humanity's oldest civilizations, against the U.S.'s own interests, at the behest of Israel, a 76-year-old state. Listen to the video: he says that Israel's objective in the war "is just break Iran -cause chaos," basically destroy the country, "because as far as they’re concerned, a broken Iran is less of a threat to Israel." Which he says is not in the US's interests "because a broken Iran means a broken global economy, as they continue to threaten the Straits of Hormuz. It means a potential refugee flow, like we saw after the war in Syria into Europe." He also says the Trump administration cannot answer what their own objective is in the war "because they don't know why they're there in the first place," implying that they're there mainly at the behest of Israel (otherwise they'd be able to articulate at least one reason). The curse of the "former official" strikes again... This is the same Jake Sullivan who, as National Security Advisor, oversaw the unconditional U.S. support for Israel's destruction of Gaza. Apparently breaking a people at the behest of Israel is only bad when a different administration does it...

I feel like modern house design helps make this worse because there's an obsession with water proofing everything. It's a delicate balance to protect the framing/etc versus allowing it to breathe enough and I have a feeling that our new class of illegal labor isn't giving this much thought.

Mold is literally everywhere. And is part of the reason why Florida drives everybody crazy after a few years. It wasn't as big of an issue when we had concrete houses and indoor/outdoor living. But we've effectively created super-strains with EMF-induced epigenetic changes and antifungal-resistance. Combine this with insulated, water damaged, and cellulose-rich drywall/sheetboard buildings and you have a perfect storm to oneshot anybody with a compromised immune system (most people).
MyFitnessFeelings@fitnessfeelingz

If you've wondered why UK has gone insane, I have an answer—mold. Never seen water damage on this scale. It's every building, & it's driving people mad.

You mean how would this *actually* work? State declares vital national security interest to control the tech, (like they did with nuclear), they seize all company assets, jail anyone who resists, remove the CEO and tell all the engineers that they have a choice: 1) they can keep coming to work but now they work for the government (with a nice pension and raise) 2) they can take a severance but aren't allowed to work on AI again 3) they can go to jail. This has happened before, bro.

AI will obviously be nationalized at some point. Tech people are delusional. On the one hand you’ve got a guy who thinks the govt will let him write his own laws for Mars, on the other you’ve got guys who think the govt will let them write their own laws for the machine demons.

When consumer quality is worse and isn’t being traded for cost, we’re being scammed. Go to a restaurant supply store - you’ll find cheap stainless cookware for a 10th the price and double the durability of Williams Sonoma (to say nothing of variety).

So often consumer grade stuff is worse and more expensive while telling us it is more approachable, cheaper, easier to use, etc. We all have been made absolute fools. The entire concept of consumer vs. industrial is made up. It should just be one category: stuff that works well.

This should 100% be done to lake mead, it would be a massive undertaking, but help reduce water loss on the lake and it would not threaten any aquatic plant ecosystem that wasn't already artificial.
Las Vegas Locally 🌴@LasVegasLocally

China is building massive floating solar farms over bodies of water. Shading the water cuts evaporation by up to 70% and boosts panel efficiency via natural cooling. We should do this at Lake Mead immediately.
