@rufen78 @Cretaceous935 @TheCinesthetic Lol ya you can. You can always argue which one was better but they were both the king of fantasy when they were around

@exQUIZitely I loved that game. A masterpiece.
So sad they stopped at 2... :(

Today, Black & White turns 25 years old. Happy birthday!
Developed by Lionhead Studios and published by Electronic Arts on 27 March 2001, the project was led by none other than Peter Molyneux.
It is widely regarded as a textbook example of a game that was too ambitious for its time, resources, and team size. Still critically acclaimed and a cult favourite, it underperformed commercially relative to the massive hype surrounding it (and Molyneux’s name).
The game combined god-game mechanics (influencing villagers and facing moral choices between good and evil), a learning AI creature, gesture-based controls, hand-of-god interaction, and a massive open world. This was groundbreaking in 2001, but it also pushed hardware limits too far for the average user.
I’m not surprised it came from Lionhead Studios. Peter Molyneux had previously led Bullfrog, a team also known for innovation and ambitious games.

@Hollowfication5 @Cretaceous935 @TheCinesthetic No.
I love both books but you can't put them in the same category.
English

@Cretaceous935 @TheCinesthetic Ya, hp wasn't like a small series it was a rival to lotr franchise. Of course people would be, regardless of which one you prefer they were like the biggest fantasy thing at 1 point
English

@bestofstarwar When it came out in 99 it was almost universally loved. It wasn’t until about 15 years ago when in retrospect people looked at Jar Jar and went, ehh, that was over the top.
English

@TwinkTheory You're trying to find logic in a book series about wizards.
You need to ask the author about those! ;)
English

How did Harry potters parents have all that cash for his trust fund? They died at 21 and the only jobs in the wizarding world are civil servant, barmaid, teacher or shop owner. Or is it just like magic? And if so how are the Weasleys poor like how far does magic go? Are they just bad at magic?

@brockpierson 20 years ago yeah, it could reset the TCP/IP bugs. But now it's auto-refreshing.

@foundring1 No.
I know 2 from Covid itself.
But none from the jab.
English

@bruce_barrett Because the unemployed don't have the skill requirement for those open jobs.
This is such a stupid question.

@MJWBucksfan @CuriosityonX We don't know, we might never know, because we can't observe it, or anything outside of the universe.
English

@CuriosityonX That’s what i always wondered as well.
Also, how did the stuff that goes “bang!” exist in the first place? Like how did something come from nothing?
I believe in God, but not the 6 day creation story. That’s just BS to control us through our belief. IMO.
English

@legrand_djipi J'ai pas suivi l'histoire, mais d'après moi ça dépend toujours de la réaction suite aux accusations.

@AllieJade1 @KathleenWinche3 Allie, did you know that NHL ice is less than 3/4 of an inch thick?
English

Did you know that hockey arena ice doesn't naturally turned white once it freezes? Ok hands up, who thought it did? Did you know that that brilliant white ice you see is because there is a nice layer of white paint underneath? Now we both know! Here's how they do some of the NHL hockey arena prep!

@RobGoodall6 @RetroMoviesDB doesn't matter, she's been red haired since 14.

@KendraMiddleton Be honest. How much do you remember from school, and how attentive would you have been in a taxes filling class?

@alexboge Earth's shadow ??
There would be no full moon whatsoever
English

It’s amusing how easy it is to debunk flat Earth.
2,300 years ago, the Greeks did it several ways: by observing Earth’s shadow on the Moon, noticing stars change with latitude and watching ships appear top first & disappear bottom-first over the horizon.
That’s curvature. Bottom first occlusion is only possible on a globe. A sharp horizon is impossible on a flat earth.
Meanwhile, Today? We have thousands of satellites, GPS, real-time photo/video, global communications - all working because Earth is a globe governed by gravity.
So what’s left?
Deny visible curvature. 🙄
Deny gravity. 🙄
Deny satellites. 🙄
Lie to Deny reality. 😂
That’s the entire flat Earth model. Gotta Lie To Flerf.

@beesblaas47 @alexboge You've never flown over the ocean I presume?
