Well noted, @CleanHeatEurope. Progress in #heating & #cooling has been relevant (mainly due to Clean Energy Package, as implementation of Fit-for-55 is in progress). Still, recent trends (part of 2023 and 2024) are concerning and require action. #RenewableEnergy #HeatIsHalf

@Tagliapietra_S @Bruegel_org It's even more, because when the report refers solar it refers only to Solar PV. There's a large number of solar thermal manufacturers in Europe, from Finland to Cyprus. As Bruegel says the report will be expanded, we hope to see at the next update the inclusion of solar heat.

This doesn't mean that there isn't the need for support, to invest in our manufacturing capacity for ALL solar techs in Europe. But this gives the idea that solar manufacturers are closing down without emergency support, when it refers to specific cases of solar PV manufacturers.
