Explaining to my friends who live abroad that today Americans guess what taxes we owe and either we're right or we go to jail

@MiaTruth1 @Riley_Gaines_ Sounds a lot like the twisted logic of liberals as well. I can't stand it coming from either side. Just STFU if you can't own up to reality.

I am ready to quit everything and just bake bread now, can I just have a bread stand that happens to make my same income now, that would be nice.

This really triggered some of you. So, I will double down just to stir the pot some more. Referring to your spouse, fiancé / fiancée, or boyfriend / girlfriend your “partner” is lame. If a man calls his woman that, he has no balls and probably gets pegged by her with a strap-on and is walked on a leash. If a woman calls her man that, she has no respect for him. These are broad generalizations, yes. But when I make them, they are usually correct and from personal observation of others I have interacted with.
Chris Martz@ChrisMartzWX

Anyone who refers to his or her significant other or spouse as “partner” is weird AF. Boyfriend / husband or girlfriend / wife. Those are the only acceptable terms.

@stiletoprincess A plastic drain snake, or "Zip-It", is good to have as a first line of defense, especially for hair clogs. Super-cheap at home stores.

@morganisawizard That was the first Ayn Rand book I read. I never read Atlas Shrugged yet. I also read Anthem, We the Living, Philosophy, and Capitalism.

@RealSpitfire Yeah, and also imagine sparing no expense to take care of illegal aliens. The soldiers deserve the steak. The illegal aliens don't deserve to come to the USA and get taken care of.

@Amer1can_Barbie It's also worse than that. Think of all the people who truly might need help because of catastrophic circumstances. These other people who are able-bodied are taking from the pot of tax dollars that could be ONLY helping the people who really need it. Makes me sick.

A lady in the store I stopped by this morning made a whole scene about not being able to use her SNAP benefits for soda and candy anymore - then, she launched into a lecture about how it’s “discrimination” to not let people buy what they want - and then proceeded to tell the cashier how those who are on SNAP are the ones keeping the economy going…. She walked out with her bags of groceries that cost her a grand total of ZERO dollars…and drove away in her BRAND NEW JEEP… In short - she is in there using MY tax dollars to buy all of her food and crap - is wholly ungrateful for any of it - and then drives off in a car that is nicer than mine. My fatigue, my rage…is at an all time high. I am fucking fuming. And all I feel like I can do is go back to work and keep paying my taxes and scream into the void about it. The entire system is broken - every single piece and part is beyond repair. It’s such a demoralizing way to feel every day. Anyway, I hate her…and everyone like her…with the fire of a thousand suns. Ok, rant over

@Darkhyacinth @mtaibbi Honestly, we don't want people having kids that don't want them in the first place. So go ahead and don't have any. See? We are happy with your decision either way.

@mtaibbi Not everyone is the same. People with kids should remember that when they try to shame others into having kids.

In this episode, I sit down with former federal employee and rural Colorado Fire Chief Erik Holt, who says his career ended after he reported what he believed to be clear evidence of election misconduct. After nearly two decades in federal service, he accepted a Fire Chief position in a small rural district, rebuilding the department from the ground up. Within a year, it grew from five personnel to more than sixty trained firefighters. By every measurable standard, the department was thriving. Then came the May 2023 election. Following complaints from citizens, he reviewed surveillance footage from polling locations and says what he found raised serious legal concerns. Acting as a private citizen, and believing he had both a moral and legal obligation, he reported the findings to the District Attorney’s Office. What followed, according to him, was retaliation. The newly elected board—some of whom were allegedly implicated—ordered him to delete surveillance footage. He refused. Bank accounts were frozen. Emergency services and payroll were disrupted. Days later, he was fired. He filed a federal lawsuit asserting First Amendment protections, arguing that reporting election fraud should not cost a public servant their livelihood. While the court acknowledged misconduct, his case was dismissed without ever reaching a jury.
