@_James_Jones_ @B25dave I think everyone wanted it to work but he doesn't seem able, apart from brief glimpses, take the reins off and let the team play. These last few games were the perfect time to try new things in the attacking areas, but he seems devoid of any ways if getting the team to click.

The main focus for all devs is selling as many games as possible a console without games isnt going to sell a console without the best selling console games wont sell microsoft owns most of those outright.

Calling out the hypocrisy of buying an entire publisher to stop Sony making a game exclusive and then canceling multiple PS5 versions is pro corporate.. Especially when they ended up releasing them anyway because they fucked up so badly Microsoft wanted their $100Bln back.

@Marcodmeatball @GenePark My biggest issue is that in a world that feels so alive and lived in, where so much effort has been made to make it feel 'real'... To talk to someone, you have to wave a lantern at them as the focus button also raises the lantern, and I don't know how to not do it..

@GenePark I gotta say I got used to them and now they're totally fine. I have been chocking it up to the PS1 days of weird controls. I know we have standardized a lot of that but I dunno. It's def weird at first lol

@mcquack306 The score is about right. The game is impressive and very very fun.. But it does has some serious issues. Reviews are supposed to be there to help people decide if a product is for them, they aren't supposed to mashed together out of context.

I haven’t seen this much gripe over a fucking aggregated review score in a long time. I know, a lot of games get dragged through the coals over the score but this is becoming obsessive. Just fucking enjoy the game or don’t play it. I see more “concern” for the score than gameplay

Lots of people are concerned about Crimson Desert's 78 review average on Metacritic. Not sure why, since we knew this would happen in it's an Asian dev. Regardless, out of the 85 critic reviews, 56 of them are 80 and above and 21 are 90+ If you ask me, I think we have a banger on our hands. The one gripe I see from creators who were hands-on is the story isn't deep like some other RPGs. My personal expectation for this game was for the gameplay so this isn't an issue for me because it was the gameplay that got me interested. I'm also hearing positive things about the PC performance, so hopefully that actually holds up. I'll be playing it today on PC and I'll let you all know how it runs for me and my specs. This is also a great reminder that IGN is a joke of a company. They scored Crimson Desert a 6 on an incomplete review, but withheld their Marathon review score by request of Bungie. Tells you everything we need to know about modern gaming journalism, doesn't it?

@DeePlaysGaming @2Wireg @nib95_ @foxygames_uk The big marketing push for GP was that it gave 1st party Microsoft games day for the price of the sub.. Except it didn't.. It was day6 unless you paid £20. Calling it early access is just semantics. Just move the date back 5 days.. boom free money.

The point I was making that Day1 on subscription devalues the content to Microsoft to the point it is no longer day 1.. its day 6.. unless you pay £20. Cementing the point is now day1 is only on the ultimate teir..

@Kriegler6301 @_TheSmartAlec1 According to that unsourced chart, they could equally be worth $4.5Bln. Fallout is possibly higher end as they rescued 76 and the show. But how long is it before VI? And Doom struggled because of GP cannibalising Day 1 sales. So thats probably lower end too.

@Kriegler6301 @_TheSmartAlec1 Then PlayStation gamers will have to wait? But how likely is that? Xbox needs to make money. It still spent the better part of $100Bln on publishers that didn't pay off. GP has cannibalised sales leading to price rises and Day 1 changes. That makes exclusives unlikely.

@Solidusstu @_TheSmartAlec1 Even then depending on next gen. What happens if Microsoft decides to go Exclusive or timed exclusive with Elder Scrolls? MS owns some of the biggest IPs in gaming they can leverage at the right time.
