The piece that caused Noa Lang’s injury was a retractable mechanism in the stadium, which was open before the match. The player’s hand hit this sharp object at high speed, resulting in a serious injury. Such an amateur situation should never happen in a major international competition. UEFA must urgently sanction Liverpool. Remember, 15 days ago Galatasaray fans were banned after two flares were thrown at Juventus. Here, at Liverpool’s stadium, a situation occurred that could seriously injure a player, and the responsibility lies entirely with UEFA. Immediate and clear action is required. @UEFA @ChampionsLeague

@sammyjoluxton1 There's a counter for each of these events, sad as they are. Of vulnerable people coerced by children who want inheritance or - in future - by a state who want population control. You either value life or you don't. We should protect it not devalue it. Better palliative care.

It’s distressing to see innumerable touting sites and chancers buy up face value gig tickets to sell to fans for exorbitant profit. Dont get fleeced. Let ‘em keep ‘em. I’d rather play to empty rooms than have you shafted. Legislation is paramount. @Twickets is your friend.

@MrBrum43 Always? Not when we were 10th in the Prem. Not when we won the Carling Cup. Blimey, last season we were champions, behind nobody. It may well be our thing this season but it would have been a dream, back to back promotions. Transition had to follow promotion.

The chasing pack took their chance this weekend. Except us. We fucked it again. Because that’s our thing. We are and always have been behind the pack. #bcfc

Banksy’s anonymity was a part of his art. How sad that Reuters spent time and resources trying to derail someone (who has contributed massively to society)’s career instead of investigating something worthwhile like, I don’t know, widespread political corruption or the Epstein Files. 🤡

These Cameo videos by Farage are frankly disgusting. He will claim to have not understood what he's said, that he was unaware that he was spouting far-right slogans and promoting neo-Nazis. But does that make it worse or better? That he simply can't be bothered to check what he's parroting out for those £90 fees. Or that he does know and just doesn't care. Either way, he is entirely unfit for public office, let alone the much vaunted PM role that so many in our media will have you believe he is a shoo-in for. I guess this is another in the long series of tests that Sky News and the BBC will fail. They will still treat him with unbridled reverence and fawning sycophancy. We're entering the Trump phase before his first term. When he claimed he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose a vote. If instances like this with Farage don't move the dial, then we may as well let him in. Get it over with. Ruin the country. Then we can move on from this racist and his cult. theguardian.com/uk-news/ng-int…

@AlisonMoyet The government don't actually want 75 year olds working. Just want them to retire early. You know, at 65, and lose 10pc of their pension as the billionaires spent it.

I see the proposal that retirent age should be raised to 75. My question is - Where are these jobs going to come from? Given that the young and mid-lifers alike are struggling to find work.

@ArchRose90 Most mistakes were deliberate choices 🤔 Running on the stairs is a mistake when you fell down them. Most would agree you deliberately ran.

Keir Starmer has said that he "made a mistake" in appointing Peter Mandelson. It wasn’t a mistake. It was a deliberate choice since he was made aware of Mandelson’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Would Starmer accept an apology from a Reform or Tory PM? Nope. Resign!
