"What is poor people doing with a phone" "We don't need 24 hours electricity" "During our time, we use to fetch stream water to drink" A terrifyingly dysfunctional society where mediocrity reign supreme, applauds & celebrate older ignorants who "breakthrough" a failed system 📌

I was on a train in Tokyo. We stopped between stations. Announcement in Japanese, then in English: "We apologize for the delay. We will resume shortly." The delay was maybe 3 minutes. Not a big deal. When the train started moving again, another announcement: "We sincerely apologize for the delay. We were stopped for 3 minutes and 20 seconds. This is unacceptable. Thank you for your patience." Three minutes and twenty seconds. They measured it exactly. And called it unacceptable. When I got off at my stop, there were station staff on the platform bowing and handing out delay certificates. I took one out of curiosity. It was an official document stating that the train had been delayed by 3 minutes and 20 seconds, signed and stamped. The staff member said in English "for your employer. So they know the delay was not your fault." I said I'm a tourist, I don't need it. He looked confused. "But the delay affected you. You deserve an apology." Three minutes. They were treating a three-minute delay like a major incident. Later I mentioned this to a Japanese friend. They said "oh yes, delay certificates are normal. Trains are supposed to be exactly on time. If they are late, they must apologize." I said three minutes isn't late, it's nothing. My friend said "in Japan, three minutes is late. On time means on time. Not approximately on time." They said the train company probably investigated why there was a 3-minute delay. "They will find the cause and fix it so it doesn't happen again." I kept the certificate. It's framed in my apartment now. A reminder that somewhere in the world, people care about three minutes. © 6IX.

Drinking too much water at once is actually useless. Yes, I know I say you should drink water but your body can only process about 1 litre per hour (about 2 bottles of 50cl @AquafinaNigeria). That is the maximum your kidneys can handle in 60 minutes. If you want to hit your 2-3 litres a day, just carry your Aquafina bottle. Drink a little when you wake up, drink a little at the office, and continue like that. Sip it gently. It’s not by drinking 1 jerrycan of water.

Thank you 🙏 @ChidiIloamaeke let us keep the hopes high put in more effort, work hard and we will achieve the result of a New Nigeria 🇳🇬 which is POssible and a son of nobody can become somebody and we will all be OK. ✌️

They will write books about the Obidient Movement. But few will write about the man who held it together when it was easiest to let go. That is the person of @YunusaTanko. H.E @PeterObi trusted him to coordinate the Obidient Movement worldwide. Think about that. A Northern Muslim loyal to a Southern Christian's vision. While others were positioning for cameras, he was in the streets, in villages and on the move with @PeterObi, humbling discharging his duties. What a principled man. Despite the pressure to abandon @PeterObi he did not flinch. Not once. This is the servant-leader nobody talks about. In a country where politicians and their supporters switch parties and trade their loyalty, Dr. Yunusa Tanko remained Obidient even when it was most dangerous. He does not scream for recognition. He just works. Nigerians can tell that H.E Mr. Peter Obi @PeterObi + @YunusaTanko combo is not just a political alliance. It's a masterclass. A Christian from the South. A Muslim from the North. He is an embodiment of a new Nigeria. He understood the vision before it became popular. This is the man who keeps the Obidient engine running with an ever cheerful disposition. Sir we cannot but acknowledge your numerous inputs and hard work. You are truly a role model. May God bless and reward you immensely for your outstanding efforts. As an Obidient, we see you. We appreciate you. Keep up with the good works. Come 2027 general elections, by the grace of God the merciful, victory will be ours. Amen✌️ @official_YmS

On this World Nurses Day, I would like to take a moment to appreciate all the nurses and midwives in our dear nation, who occupy a very special place and play very critical roles in our health sector. As one who has been on the vanguard of investing in our critical sectors of human and national development, I have always maintained that you, our dear nurses, are the heart of our health sector. Over the years, I have traversed different corners of our nation supporting different schools and colleges of nursing and midwifery because I understand the inevitable role you play in our healthcare delivery. As you mark this special day, I wish to, firstly, thank you for all your efforts and sacrifices. Your compassion, sacrifice, and resilience keep our nation alive. And secondly, I wish to encourage you not to relent in your service to humanity. Nigerian nurses work under some of the toughest conditions with dignity and courage. From physical and mental stress to high patient-to-nurse ratios, to lack of equipment and poor working environments, your resilience keeps our health sector going. And beyond the shores of the nation, our nurses have continued to make exploits on the global stage. From leading the next generation research in nursing practice to championing excellence in clinical practice—many Nigerian nurses have written their names on the sands of time and lifted our national banner high. I celebrate you all. My firm commitment to you all remains this — we will build a New Nigeria where your hard work and sacrifices will never go unnoticed. We will invest in your education and training to ensure that you remain competitive on the global stage. Happy World Nurses Day to you all. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

One question I have been getting at meetings with Nigerians in the US is what lessons can we draw from leadership failure in Nigeria. No. 1 is that leadership behavior that is not people centered and places self or peers ahead of the common good is recipe for disaster

THREE: Water. Roads. Light. Healthcare. These are not favors—they're your rights. Abuja Infrastructure Bill clean water for residents through solar-powered boreholes.  Roads in Abaji, Kwali, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and the neglected parts of AMAC - FIXED. Primary Healthcare Centres are upgraded with an adequate number of doctors, medical supplies, and reliable emergency services.  Schools renovated.  This is not optional. This is your right.

No.3 is that the smart leader thinks inclusion but the impostor thinks zero sum and excludes or divides people. When they are devious they turn to divide and rule and sow seeds of discord that go on for grnerations
