Happy 4th of July to my American friends! I live in a place where our media and the sheep tell me to hate the good ole USA every day and it makes me love you even more. Haha! Have a great day you Yankee beauties! ❤️🇺🇸 🦅

2 goalies have scored 4 goals each in hockey history. Neither did it in a single league. Can you name either? We built a database to find out. 220 verified goals, 195 goalies, 18 leagues, and you can add to it. All answers on our new goalie goal page: buff.ly/OZemUTB

Today's Supreme Court decision is a win for New Jersey voters. It reinforces what we've long known: vote-by-mail is a safe, secure, and reliable way to vote. As a Navy veteran, I know how important vote-by-mail is for the servicemembers and military families who defend our country while exercising their own right to vote. We'll continue defending every eligible New Jerseyan's fundamental right to vote and ensuring our elections remain free, fair, and secure.

@GovSherrillNJ Just spitballing here but maybe it's the property taxes? Or if people didnt have to pay state income tax? Or maybe it's the 500+ a month to get a train pass that gets you to work late everyday?

Housing costs are driving too many working families out of New Jersey. That’s why I’m not waiting to take action. We're giving communities the tools to plan for affordable housing that's tailored to their needs and investing in homes for the people who keep our state running.

Happy Father’s Day. I was fortunate to have a father, Jim, who led by example and taught me the value of hard work, accountability, and character. Today, one of the greatest honors of my life is helping guide Lilah, George, and Jack as they pursue their own journeys. To all the dads leading the right way, thank you. The standards you set today help shape the leaders of tomorrow.

JetBlue cited New York-area airport costs as a key driver in pulling back from Newark. NJ has the highest corporate tax rate in America. The 2nd worst overall tax climate in the nation. The highest property taxes in the country. Businesses aren't leaving because NJ isn't a great state. They're leaving because Trenton makes it too expensive to stay. #NJTaxes #JetBlue

New Jersey is earning a new nickname: "Hollywood East." 🎥 5,500 film and TV projects shot here since 2017, with $3.3 billion invested in production 💵 $2.3 billion spent by Netflix, 1888 Studios/Paramount, and Lionsgate 👥 31,000 crew members hired in 2024 alone At Kean University's Bringing Communities into Focus Summit, we talked about how we can bring more film and TV production — and the jobs and investment that come with it — to communities across New Jersey, from Passaic to Paterson to Perth Amboy.

NEW: @NewJerseyOAG just filed a lawsuit against the GEO Group, demanding that the court grant the New Jersey Department of Health full access to inspect Delaney Hall. If ICE and the GEO Group – with a $1 billion government contract – have nothing to hide and the conditions inside Delaney Hall are as safe and as sanitary as this private corporation and the Trump Administration claim, then there is no legitimate reason why my health inspectors are being kept from full access throughout the building. We are going to keep working for better conditions inside Delaney Hall until it is closed for good.
Attorney General Jennifer Davenport@NewJerseyOAG

Reports about conditions at Delaney Hall are shocking. Bad or no medical care, no toilet paper, worms in food. Even a report of tuberculosis. With @GovSherrillNJ and @NJDeptofHealth, we are suing Geo Group to secure immediate access to conduct a full health inspection.

Thank you @GovSherrillNJ for cooperating with us to help restore law and order. We support every Americans constitutional right to peacefully protest. No one has the right to RIOT and ASSAULT law enforcement. We hope to build on this partnership and work together to remove the worst of the worst from New Jersey communities.

The average New Jerseyan is asking... “Can I afford to stay here?” Not... “What’s going on at Delaney Hall today?” It’s time to get back to work lowering costs, making our communities safer, and making New Jersey AFFORDABLE again.

No one wants to deal with a confusing app when they’re just trying to get home or make it to work on time. That’s why we redesigned the NJ TRANSIT app – to make commuting simpler, with a smarter trip planner to help you route between stations. We’re building toward features like LiveView, using real-time GPS data so you know exactly when your train will arrive. It’s one of many steps in our NJ TRANSIT Rapid Action Plan to deliver a better commuter experience across New Jersey.

I promised an improved transit system for New Jerseyans. And we’re already delivering. Today, we released our NJ TRANSIT Rapid Action Plan – outlining immediate steps to make the rider experience more reliable, cleaner, and safer. This is a major first step toward delivering a better experience today and building a world-class transit system tomorrow.

I've said from the beginning I'd fight Trump's tariffs tooth-and-nail – and I'm grateful for the efforts of our Attorney General, who just won in court.  Trump's illegal tariff regime is driving up costs for consumers and small businesses, and New Jersey will continue fighting them to bring costs down for families.
Attorney General Jennifer Davenport@NewJerseyOAG

We won! A court just agreed with us that President Trump’s latest tariffs are illegal. Proud to stand up for New Jersey families against the President’s reckless attempts to drive up costs and make life less affordable. njoag.gov/ag-davenport-c…

Both FIFA and the Murphy administration walked back the “free” public transportation requirement in 2024 — when @northjersey was the only one reporting on this and had the contracts and addenda. LINK: northjersey.com/story/sports/m… Let this also be a PSA to support local news

FIFA have responded to this - and strongly. “We are quite surprised by the NJ Governor’s approach today on fan transportation. The original FIFA World Cup 2026 Host City Agreements signed in 2018 required free transportation for fans to all matches. Recognizing the financial strain this placed on the host cities, back in 2023 FIFA adjusted the Host Agreement requirements across all host cities as follows: All Match Ticket holders and accredited individuals shall be able to access transport (public or additionally planned transport) at cost to allow travel to Stadiums on match days.   “FIFA worked for years with host cities on transportation and mobility plans, including advocating for millions of dollars in federal funding to support host cities for transportation.   “FIFA World Cup will bring millions of fans to North America along with related economic impact. Many fans will travel to NYNJ to enjoy the eight matches scheduled. FIFA is not aware of any other major event previously held at NYNJ Stadium, including other major sports, global concert tours, etc., where organizers were required to pay for fan transportation.”

New York Penn Station is closing for 4 hours on World Cup match days. Why is this any different than a Jets/Giants game, Taylor Swift concert or the 2014 Super Bowl - all held at MetLife w/o closing PSNY. We don’t have much info but here’s what we know northjersey.com/story/news/tra…

The Constitution is clear: states run elections, not the federal government. New Jersey has administered safe, secure, and accessible voting for generations. Our vote-by-mail system works. Millions of New Jerseyans — Republicans, Democrats, and unaffiliated voters alike — rely on it. The president himself has cast ballots by mail. This order does nothing to strengthen election integrity and is designed to make it harder for eligible citizens to vote. Like everything Donald Trump gets involved in – from jobs to healthcare, to gas prices, a war with no plan, or even running our airports – he creates chaos and makes life harder for New Jerseyans. Let’s be clear: any problem with mail in ballots would be caused by Trump himself. I will take every action available to protect New Jerseyans fundamental voting rights.
