As a gayman Im actually verse, the only reason why I don’t post many videos of me topping is because whenever I start topping a friend with benefits, they ghost me once they find out that I like bottoming too. Apparently other people experience that 🤷🏽‍♂️

@JUICE4PRES1DENT @SomaKazima I’ve traveled to Brazil several times and one of my favorite things about it is how everybody just assumes that I’m from there until I start talking. It’s more “black like us” than the USA. Also, most black Americans have mixed ancestry because of slavers raping black women.

@Komaniecki_R I was in undergrad with him, he’s a cousin not a nephew. He’s not an untalented person but even when we were kids he had a very rigid and limited idea of how people and things are supposed to be. I always wonder what he’d have become if he could drop the ideology 🤷🏾‍♂️

I often think about Nina’s “Don’t let me be misunderstood”. The lyrics are so real especially for women of color I think

@Komaniecki_R Also, and really not trying to fight here, I like your writing and think you’re a thoughtful person. But it’s kinda weird that you chose to see an article that is about highlighting a marginalized group’s historic contribution and engagement with a genre as white erasure.

@Komaniecki_R I think you might be reading the article in a way that the author doesn’t intend. They’re not excluding white people from country music’s origins, they’re saying that these other people HAVE been excluded and continue to be and that this is ahistorical.

Most people don’t have a concept of how easy it is to be wrong with key aspects of your worldview. If you look over the course of history the most basic assumptions tend to be completely wrong when tested. Read a history of science and one paradigm always replaces another. That thing you hold to be completely true was based off some faulty studies done 40 years ago that academia wanted to hear. It was then built off an incorrect chain of logic. Also, a new discovery has been made which negates a core pillar of the theory’s logic. This happens all the time and our society doesn’t ever think about it. Even more so than bias or bad studies is just incorrect assumptions. People can start with the wrong first principles or they can ignore key variables. Often there’s another better theory they won’t discover for another 200 years that explains the weird thing they can’t explain. Even the most brilliant theories ever have to leave stuff out given they can’t cover everything. I always try to build in the knowledge that what I’m saying is probably wrong into my worldview and I’m shocked no one else does so. I always value empirical evidence over theoretical. This attracts me to history. I can say “England lost the Hundred Years War” and that’s a historic fact to build assumptions off rather than “ohh…some studies in the 70s suggested ____”. I treat everything that’s not empirical as suspect. I always have a mental model “this is something we know happened, vs this is someone’s theory of it”. I try to compare what ideas different eras and independent societies believed. When I write these videos I try to make something an Ancient Greek, Victorian or medieval Chinese would see as reasonable and rational. This is also why I say “I’m betting against God” or “listen to me at your own expense” since I’m almost certainly going to be wrong. Once you accept you’re wrong you can adapt for new information without it being an ego threat. Part of the reason I tilt right is I don’t trust “the expert concensus” given that’s changed very radically, normally for political reasons, in the modern world. Tradition is what’s been proven to work whether or not it makes sense, although in eras of great change like ours it often becomes outdated. It’s not my place to say what’s rational or not since I’m not in a place to judge the universe. I just say what’s worked historically.

@lynneedenise I’ve always loved Switzerland, particularly the French parts and would gladly move there to teach at the university of Lausanne. They probably liked it because it’s gorgeous, art is appreciated and, people know how to mind their own business 🤷🏾‍♂️

I still don't have any money, but credit is a scam, and I have a scammer's spirit. You too can go from Poor to Very Good credit with a sound financial plan that says "I'm tired of fighting The Man, so where can I trick him instead."

You know you are in the job that is meant for you when you excitedly talk to people about work and they just completely glaze over. Like, all my friends are so bored by what I do but I really do have the best time at work everyday with my little numbers and data.

@RafiDAngelo The first time that I heard this cadence was from suburban kids in debate tournaments. I think they think a barrage of info with no oratory skill means that your facts are pure vs the emotion of good oratory skills ie Ben Shapiro

Where do people learn this particular cadence? Every person I've ever met who has this speech pattern is utterly insufferable.

@RafiDAngelo It didn’t feel out of place or clunky to me at all, it reminded me of a time when I had almost the exact conversation with my uncle who’s white. He was talking about how his free expression of anger gets things done and me and my back aunt were like 🤨

Our reception of art is informed by our own experiences and there's no truly objective critique of anything, so I'm not sure how much of my reaction to that scene stems from being a man who never thinks about that and how much stems from being a writer questioning the placement.

This took me right out of the show for a minute because it felt so hamfisted into the script, but did it feel that way because it was clunky dialogue or because we're so used to not seeing this level of honesty from mass market media?

#shehulk might genuinely be the first time some young men hear a woman speak candidly about experiences like this. It might not seem like it but that’s hugely important.
